one of my favorites off the season but was it really necessary ?¿
i love a camp rock style invasion but knowing they won't care about winning in the end makes the point of this whole episode useless lol (like what was the point of the mob song?? they were great but what was it for?? what did it prove??)
the entire episode was hilarious tho lmao
i said this before but redlyn is boring af. they have their fight this episode about antoine but even that doesn't get solved.
portwell was cute here ig
i hated nini in this episode,, she acted like she was suddenly more important than everybody else? all she could talk about was her song and she didn't support the gang in the mob song just because of ricky. and then she was willing to put the show in trouble just to sing her song that makes ZERO sense in batb. she also kept running away? like please. we all know the rose song is about ricky,, you literally wanted to keep it a secret from him at first. and don't get me started on the name issue.
i know rinis hated lily in this episode for what she told ricky but she wasn't lying? yeah she was manipulating him but everything she said about nini's song and the lyrics were true,, ricky doesn't deserve to be kept in the dark
but he wasn't perfect either lmao. he approached the situation all wrong,, the passive aggressive comments were not it.
howie being revealed as the beast was great lmao but i don't understand why kourtney got so mad about it? it's not that deep lmaoo and the two of them JUST got together last episode
lmao i almost forgot to mention miss jenn and zack. didn't care much for them. confused why they kept alluding that she still has feelings or is still attracted to him? also him stealing the mask was dumb af.
highlight of the episode: all the north high characters except zack lol
episode eight

this episode...
gaston was a fun number; they really pretended this episode was going to be fun too
it was so hard to watch ricky the entire episode. he was trying so hard to keep his shit together. josh NAILED the desperation. hated how big red wasn't giving him enough attention though before the breakup. you can tell how worried ricky was and all i wanted to do was give him a hug.
ricky and nini's arguments though??? did they put something in those scenes because they're so addicting to watch? (because of the acting lmao i'm a rini, i wasn't happy they were falling apart but josh and liv brought their a-game to show it)
ik it's obvious i'm team ricky but it's so frustrating that nini snaps at him for thinking she "changed her name" because of him. like wtf is he supposed to think? she introduced herself as nina RIGHT AFTER their north high falling out. ofc he's going to assume it was because of him?
also kourtney being the middle woman between them was so fcking hilarious
rini's argument at slices is the most important in figuring out where everything went wrong; i'd love to go into it but i'm going to do a rini analysis after reviewing all the episodes
their break up is my favorite scene in the seasons lmao is that odd?¿ their chemistry and the acting and all the details about it was perfect. you can tell how ricky hated and was afraid of what was happening but he was holding back. and him comforting nini despite being so hurt himself?? it's the best and worst at the same time.
nini looking at her instagram right after though was...
anyways portwell was cute again? ig? sorry i don't have much to say on their ship. i don't mind supporting it but i'm not obsessed with them either.
but ej's college arc... wasted potential. i needed more from this arc!
redlyn, again, their problem didn't seem to matter to me...
miss jenn and mr. mazzara; again i don't know where that's going or if i care. miss jenn shooting for a commercial is interesting but they never made much of it.
kowie,, again i don't understand why it was a big deal but because of how they made it out to be that way, i'm confused by how howie singing some random ass batb song solved their problem,, but roman's vocals and that whole sequence was perfect!
highlight of the episode: rini//if i can't love her
episode nine

lmao the show started slowing down for me here (but the songs in this one made up for it)
again with another "north high competition" focused episode,, it's all really useless by the end of it
nini's writers block is never properly explained, addressed, or solved so hooray for character development!
gina and jack were fun,, it felt like a spontaneous fling? don't ship them but their scenes were funny af
ricky (and the audience lmao) getting closure with his mom was so important,, and burrito ricky was everything, he was adorable. let you go is also amazing, best song of the series imo.
ain't seen nothing is my guilty pleasure too lmao
i don't know if anything else important happened in this ep?
i wonder how the wildcats found out about the breakup lol
