max was y/ns best friend. although y/n wanted to be more. and i can't remember when the two started having issues, but it just happened.

then, it all crumbled down in the creel house when max, lucas and y/n were inside, trying to save hawkins.

"max?!" y/n yelled.

"i don't want to die, i'm not ready." max cried.

"you're not gonna die, just hang on!" lucas said, max in his arms.

y/ns thoughts were making her brain go in a spiral.

i should've been there, this wouldn't be happening if i had just been there.
