y/n was infuriated with steve. he had just called her sister, nancy - his girlfriend - a slut. in red spray paint.

she was not going to stand for that. with jonathan and nancy trailing not far behind her, she was walking angrily toward steve. she politely tapped his shoulder, which caused him to turn around, not knowing who it was.

he raised his eyebrow, wondering what she was gonna do. she glared at him, and before he could react, punched him square in the face.

"ow! what the hell?!" he exclaimed.

"that's what you get, you dick." she spat at him.

"what did i even do?"

"wow. see that's funny. you do something so shitty then act all clueless when we found out."

"mm. what i said is true. your sister is a cheating slut and deserved what she got." steve scoffed. y/n gave him a fake smile, before kicking him in the stomach and grabbing him by the ear.

"before i say anything, let me just say, you deserve everything coming your way." she laughed pettily. she let go of his ear and he backed away.

"maybe i do. and maybe nancy is a slut."

"or, maybe she couldn't live up to your unrealistic, impossible to reach, sky-high expectations for a girlfriend, and you got mad."

"or, maybe i gave her love and everything she could've wanted and she threw it all away for that freak." steve squinted.

"steve, steve, steve. poor baby, you're so.. fucking blind." she chuckled.

"nancy and jonathan were in her bedroom together. i think i know where that leads."

"whatever you think they did, they didn't. i know in your experience, being in a bedroom always leads to two people having sex, but it doesn't always happen. maybe if you opened your eyes and actually cared for your girlfriend, you'd see that she was terrified, and jonathan and i were the only ones there for her. her own boyfriend called her a fucking slut! get your head out of your ass and look and see that your guys' relationship is more than just YOUR feelings. nancy matters, too."

"wow. so my feelings are invalid?" steve asked.

"they will be until you realize the shit you've put nancy through."

"well, she clearly takes after her sister." steve sneered.

"her older sister, couldn't be a good enough girlfriend for king steve. the whore who couldn't even--"

y/n cut him off by punching him in the face. he fell backwards fully, landing on his back. she grabbed the collar of his shirt and glared at him.

"you listen to me. your 'king steve' act is pathetic. you pick up girls like coins on the street, and you don't even give them attention. they're just your distractions."

"are not--"

"don't argue with me. before you go and hurt nancy again, i just want to have you know now.."

"you're a coward. you're too scared to be yourself so you're acting all high and mighty while everyone plays follow the leader. it's pathetic and sad."

"oh, please. i'm not the coward. you ran away from our relationship." steve rolled his eyes.

"i ran because i didn't want to be treated like an object. i wanted to be treated like a human. so steve, learn how to treat a girl." y/n turned on her heel and walked away with nancy and jonathan.

those words y/n said had been built up for a long time. they may have been harsh, but she meant every single word she told steve.
