~In Nogo's Dungeon~

That night you dream in red.

You run through a field of long grass accompanied by sunflowers, as wide as the eyes can see, except instead of yellow petals, they are red, as is the sky above.

Fields and flowers only exist in the human realm. Why they are in your dream, you do not know. You are completely alone and do not run for the fun of it. You run in fear.

You let out a scream, or try to, because nothing comes out. You stop and turn around. Behind you in the sky is a large meteor sized rock, swiftly catching up. The ground you run on soon becomes destroyed by the rock. Is it even a rock? You had not taken a good enough look at it to be certain. All you know is that you are going to die if you stop running.

Going to die.

Panic rises in your chest, to the lungs and throat. You feel it swiftly taking over.

Going to die.

But you are tired of running. Escaping. You are exhausted.

Suddenly a raised root catches your foot, causing you to trip and plunge harshly into the sea of grass, hitting the ground with fierce impact.

It's too late. I can't get up in time.

Quickly deciding your own fate, you don't bother to move. Even an inch, knowing it's worthless. When you look up, you see the colossal sized rock approaching, hanging right above.

Holding your breath, you shut your eyes.

You can't hear anything, but you certainly feel everything. A sharp pain in your back as you get knocked to the ground, head flinging back from the force of the rock as you become engulfed within it. It couldn't be a rock if you are able to enter it...so what is it? It's so heavy on your entire body. It's suffocating.

You feel like you are dying. There is no other way to describe it.

"Y/N"

Someone is calling you. But tiredness has taken its toll. You have failed once again to out run what was trying to chase you. Again. You do not respond.

"Y/N"

You jerk awake to an empty bedroom, heart beating fiercely inside. No one is around. Slowing your panting, you sit up and brushing back the hair stuck to your face with sweat, you ground yourself by taking in your surroundings. Your room could definitely use some decoration. For now it has the same dark stone walls, carved out desk with your favourite books stacked high, from your bookshelf. Your eyes travel to the top shelf; which is ever-growing with your own work. Reading and writing were designed for you.

Another nightmare. The third this month.

Sighing, you get out of bed, hanging lazily by an arm on one of the four posters, and step out onto the soft rug, letting your toes and heals dig in.

At last you were calm again.

But who was calling? Surely it wasn't in your dream, you could never make out distinct voices while in slumber. Yet you heard your own name.

It could not have been your neighbours either. Kurt and Jules have left for a few months holiday, and you don't have any other friends asides from them in either of the other sections of the dungeons. Lucky things. You are going to miss them.

Since you have no family here, you have no one to visit for the Spring. That meant training in solitude for the next three months.

Have the dungeons will be empty since most have left for the time being. An empty pit enters your stomach.

Deciding that standing around is pointless, and that the emptiness could in fact be filled with breakfast, you get dressed.

A fitted black high-neck top, sleeveless as this left you plenty of room to move around and train. Next was a pair of fitted black pants, breathable and also...for training.

(You may like to imagine this outfit with any edgy belts, buckles or accessories.)

For shoes, you prefer black tie and wrap runners.

After getting ready for the day, you open the door and stroll down the corridor, passing multiple hallways of doors with the yellow signs on almost all of them.

The yellow sign means you are away. Something you have never been able to place on your own.

Staying in Nogo's dungeons are an honour. Education and training take up most hours of the day, then being able to relax and work on your novels by night, or pulling all-nighters and having sleepovers with Kurt and Jules.

The entire purpose of training, with archery, cardio and knives and swords, is to go out into the universe for missions to find any sign of life.

For negative energy.

What is your specialty?

You are mostly ordinary. You are not a demon like Kurt or a fairy like Jules. In fact you look exactly like a human. Jokes circulate around about your strangely alike appearance, but no human can fly. Most in the dungeons can fly. You are particularly good in the area of sword fights and knife throwing, baring the gift of object manipulation, again like most. You always hit the target, that is, until you decided to train in archery but found it wasn't quite suited to you as you had hoped.

Your job is to train for battles and collect negative energy. It is what also keeps you and all other beings like you alive.

The only battle you have ever fought in was the battle of Jubiland around five years ago, though you were 14 at the time and only added to the numbers.

They say a greater war is coming. One between us and the Human Realm. No one is certain when but they say that it would be sooner than later.

Another thing that is for certain. You are a worrier. A bag full of anxiety with a panic disorder. There are no known triggers that set it off. There never has been.

That is, apart from the nightmares. But you cannot connect no reasoning or meaning to them.

You have gone off the rails a few times before, those times were years ago but you would rather anything than to live another one again. You now have become a master of pushing it down.

After breakfast in an empty food hall, you turn towards the doors for a walk when...

"Y/N"

You come to a sudden stop as your name echoes around the hallway. Whipping your head around, you know for certain you are alone.

But you already know who is calling.

Emperor Nogo himself.
