Chapter 31: Taking an Angel

Des POV

Justine was asleep as I pulled up the winding drive way of the casino. There was no damage to anything in the village or the casino. They didn't try to attack anybody in the homes or in any building, they only fought the fighters. I put the car in park as I looked up the huge building I always called home. I didn't want that anymore. It was the past and I needed a new start and clean slate. Plus the apartment was going to get crowded soon too. I wanted my own home, where I could go with Justine and say it was my place to call home. I didn't want to worry about Albin irritating us. We could also always get a house big enough for May and Rick too, because there was no way that Justine would ever leave them.

Slowly I walked over to her side of the car and picked her up making sure not to wake her. People in the pack smiled at me as I walked across the Casino floor holding Justine in my arms asleep. Some humans looked at me like they thought it was the cutest thing in the world others looked at me with discus. Finally I hit the elevator and got to our apartment. Gently I laid her on the couch and tucked her in. I had a lot of work to do, so I decided to get some done as she was sleeping.

I was in my office for over an hour, when there was a knock on the door. "Come in!" I called. Alex came in looking stress out of his mind. "We have a slight problem." I sat back in my chair preparing for the worst. "Ok, what is it now?" "Well, there's no one to run the blood pack." "So we either take them in or set up a new alpha." I said going back to the paper work I was filling out. It wasn't as big as a problem as I expected. It was easly solved compared to what we just went through. "What are we doing?" "Our pack is too big as it is. I want to set up a new Alpha. I have a great idea to who it will be." "Which is?"

I explained to Alex about my plan about who the alpha and Beta would be. He agreed right away that they would be the best people for the job. "What are we going to do with Leba and Sean?" "What is there to do with them?" "Well Sean was part of the whole problem." I knew that, but he was helpful and did change sides. "If they want to join the pack they can and if they want to go back to blood pack they can do that too. It doesn't really matter to me." It was weird thinking that it was all over. I knew that life wouldn't be simple, but I could tell by Alex's face that he was thinking about wierd it is going to be without having to worry about everthing. Without getting threat notes and weird things that happen. Some of the stuff that happened over the last two mounths didn't even make sence to me. Like I still couldn't figure all about May and Rick or really why they wanted Justine and Leba so baddly, but something are better off kept secruts.

"So I've been thinking, but I need your help" I said after finishing talking about the pack stuff. "Sure." "I want to get a house. I'm either leaning to this village or the other one, but I'm not sure." "Well the other village has bigger houses and plus that's where my new house is." My head snapped up. "You didn't tell me you were moving out." "I was going to, but other things got in the way." "That would be perfect then, we can still work together easily." "Yeah, actually there is another house for sale on the same street, but both the houses are small compare to this." "That's fine. I just need a place for May and Rick and Jay and I." "Yeah, you will have plenty of room, there's like five bedrooms."

Three days later

Alex and I stood in front of the light blue color New England Colonial. It wasn't too big on the outside, but I could tell that it would be perfect. It had a white porch and shutters. The house only had about two archers of land but more than half of it was woods, Working perfectly with what I needed. Making it ten times better it was in the village of all werewolves and Alex's parent's old house, where he was moving into, was across the street. I knew I could afford it, the shares in the casino I had, always made sure that I had way more than enough money. "So what are you thinking?" "I think this house is perfect, but we should probably check inside it."
