"Mister!" Soobin turned his head slightly hearing a voice call out, unsure whether it was calling out for him or not. He glanced back as he heard shoes thumping against the pavement loudly.
He glanced around to see if there was anyone else that she could have possibly called before pointing to himself unsurely seeing as no one was around.
She nodded hastily as she stood before him, placing her hands on her knees as she attempted to catch her breath. Soobin shifted around awkwardly as he waited for her to regain her composure.
"Sorry about that, I'm...Kim Min Jeong." Soobin heard the hesitation in her voice before she forced a smile and offered her hand for a handshake. Soobin smiled softly before shaking her hand and introducing himself as well.
"I want to also apologize...for my friend's behavior." Min Jeong lowered her gaze meekly as she played with her fingers nervously. Soobin tilted his head in confusion, curious about who she was talking about.
"Jisu is my friend from middle school." Min Jeong smiled politely as Soobin's eyes widened in surprise, taken aback. Other than Yeji, Soobin never met any other of Jisu's friends.
"So, you saw what happened back there?" Soobin asked awkwardly as he scratched the back of his nape in embarrassment. Min Jeong nodded slowly before gulping.
"Earlier just now, my ex came over to the cafe and I acted like one of those bitches that don't know how to forgive and forget. I think Jisu got influenced and reflected my behavior onto you unknowingly."
Soobin let the girl's words sink in, nodding along slowly as he tried to comprehend what he had just heard. Min Jeong saw a flicker of hope in his eyes, making a brief smile appear on her face.
For Soobin, this meant that Jisu might not actually be that mad at him, although she had the right to. Soobin couldn't help but let out a mental sigh of relief knowing apologizing wouldn't be as hard as he thought because of their encounter a few minutes ago.
"Please be patient with her; she's still very naive." Min Jeong pleaded with an embarrassed smile. Soobin chuckled as his eyes softened just thinking about Jisu.
A smile grew on Soobin's face before he locked eyes with Min Jeong. Min Jeong watched him closely as he opened his mouth but hesitated for a while. She smiled softly, knowing that Jisu indeed found her match.
"Even if she didn't forgive me in the end, I'll never give up that easily. That's how desperate I am for her to forgive me. I think...I think I like her." Min Jeong's eyes softened as her heart couldn't stop fluttering in excitement at the fact that Jisu indeed found the most perfect man in the world.
