(y/n) was a very young seventeen years old when she arrived at Kings Cross Station. She was deeply saddened by the fact that after this there would be no more Hogwarts, this was the end of the line, she'd have to face the real world soon.

"(y/n), wait up!" A voice called out, the girl spun around on her heel, allowing for the source of the outburst to come into her view. The tall and thin figure was none other than Sirius Black, one of her close friends and a member of that ghastly group of Gryffindor boys known as the Marauders.

"Hello Sirius." (y/n) muttered, she was a bit jumpy at the moment, due to the fact that Sirius had given her quite the scare with his sudden appearance.

"Did ya miss me?" Sirius asked, he had a sort of puppy dog look in his eyes and a pouty mouth as he asked the girl the question. (y/n) sighed and the boy and folded her arms.

"Not really." She said plainly, (y/n) noticed Sirius' immediate change in expression, so she tried her best to better the situation. "Well I meant, I didn't miss only you, I missed everyone." (y/n) said quickly, she believed that she'd recovered the situation quite nicely, and Sirius' change in expression was proof of it.

"So you did miss me." Sirius said with a wide grin, he headed out in front of the girl, after he'd gotten twenty or so feet away he chose to spin around and wave goodbye before disappearing into the large crowd up ahead. It was a classic move of Sirius to leave the conversation, this allowed for him to get the last word in.

"That damned Sirius."

(y/n) placed her trunk above her head and fell back onto the booth of her little compartment. She looked out the large window and watched as several students piled into the locomotive, there were a couple of last minute stragglers who rushed as quickly as possible in order to catch the train.

"Hello (y/n), how was your summer?" Evan's asked, she had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, just as Sirius had, though slightly less frightening this time around.

"It was nice, I swam most of the time." (y/n) stated, Lily smiled and placed her trunk above her head just as (y/n) had.

"I'm glad, you seem much livelier when you're around water." Lily chimed, she feverishly checked her watch and checked the long central corridor of the grand vehicle, she seemed to be waiting for something to happen. "I'll be leaving in a bit, there's a damned prefects meeting, on the Hogwarts train, it's unheard of." Lily complained, she sighed and abruptly got up from her seat. "I'll be back shortly after the candy carts arrive." Lily said, there wasn't the slightest bit of fear in her voice, only annoyance and determination. Lily was almost always right, therefore (y/n) felt no need to question furthermore about the supposed meeting. Instead, (y/n) opted to get some shut eye, she'd been weary from the ride to the station, which was windy and tougher than usual.

After a short while of napping, (y/n) began to feel as if she were being watched, and surely enough she was being watched. When she awoke the Marauders were standing there glaring at her.

"What the-." (y/n) began, she was still squinting from the bright lights, and was sort of hazy from her nap.

"Hello (y/n), we've brought chocolate and wizards chess." Peter chimed, his grin was precious. The boy began placing the said items down nearby (y/n), which she stared at with ravenous eyes.

"Thank you Peter." (y/n) smiled, she grabbed a hold of one of the chocolate bars and began nibbling pieces off of it. Remus came and sat beside her, and she began giving little bites of the bar as well.

"Moony, you're supposed to help me with this." Sirius said, he interrupted the little moment between (y/n) and Remus.

"Right." The boy said, he rushed to his friends side and aided him with the gifts and the cards. James appeared with Lily at his side, meaning that the whole gang was together at last, and now they broke out into song. They all began singing happy birthday and during the whole ordeal Sirius had managed to snag the seat beside (y/n), only to be replaced by Lily.
