(y/n) and Remus met at age eight, the occurrence was completely spontaneous and random, though it forever changed their lives. Remus had always believed that he was alone in the world, and that no one could truly understand the alienation that comes with lycanthropy. Even though (y/n) didn't possess the same qualities as him, he still found comfort in knowing she too felt the same things as he did. Therefore their friendship bloomed and they've been inseparable ever since...

(y/n) sat closely beside Remus Lupin, she'd been jumping for joy since the letters came from Hogwarts, and she'd nearly lost her mind when she found out that Remus had been accepted too. So of course, the two sat very closely together on the train, both were so similar, in ways many wouldn't expect.

"Are you nervous?" Remus asked, he sat up straight and began fixing up his hair, which was a horrible and wispy mess atop his head. The boy seemed very anxious about the long trip ahead, and having to bare a secret at a place like Hogwarts. His father had given him a talking to about Hogwarts, and now he was very spooked.

"Sort of, but I think I'll manage." (y/n) said with a smile, she rested her head against the window, she wouldn't be able to for very long since it rattled when the train started up.

Within seconds of departing a group of three unruly boys came and took over (y/n) and Remus' compartment, it was as if they were being robbed by a couple of highway men. The boys all wore smug expressions and furrowed their brows, for some strange reason.

"Who are you?" (y/n) asked in confusion, all three rushed over to her and drew their wands.

"Give us all your candy or we'll blow your head." The one with the small circular glasses demanded, he seemed to be the leader of the group, since he stood in the middle. From what (y/n) could tell, the chubby one and the one with glasses were close friends, and the black haired boy was a straggler that they had picked up on the way.

"We haven't any." Remus spat, he folded his arms and sighed at the three boys, he was only trying to get some shut eye to ease his raging anxiety.

"Hm, what a shame." Glasses said, he sat in the booth across from Remus and (y/n), the other two followed him like stray dogs.

"What're your names?" (y/n) asked, she sounded eager when she asked the question, she was deeply confused by their actions, though hopefully they would no longer be bouncing off of the walls.

"I'm James Potter, and this is Peter Pettigrew." James said, he turned to the black haired boy, who's name had escaped him.

"And i'm Sirius Black." The black haired boy shouted, he seemed like the most proud of the three, and the wildest of them. He had scrapes and bruises all over his arms, it looked as though he was the clumsiest of the group as well.

"What about you?" Peter muttered, he seemed just as curious as (y/n), and he wondered what kind of relationship the odd pair possessed.

"I'm (y/n) (l/n)." The girl chimed, she looked to Remus to introduce himself, which he did with hardly any emotion.

"And I'm Remus Lupin." Remus sighed, he had now gotten a stomach ache from all his worrying, though who could blame him. His father had told him to strictly stay with (y/n) and refrain from making anymore friends. He'd already broken his fathers word, though it is difficult not to when attending Hogwarts.

"You two seem real close." Sirius croaked, he stared at the pair, he was examining them very closely.

"He's my best friend." (y/n) said, she didn't want the unruly boys to question her furthermore, and neither did Remus.

"How long have you known each other?" James asked, (y/n) let out a sigh of relief and rested her arms neatly on her lap.

"Five years." Remus said, he was slowly calming himself down with a chocolate bar, though it had begun to melt due to its storing location (under his robes).
