(y/n) had explained everything to Lily, and it was only reasonable that Sirius do the same with his friends. There was a lot of uncertainty afterwards.
"I don't know what to do now, it was different with Remus." (y/n) stated, she remembered the promise to herself, time was ticking, she'd have to eventually tell the boy. But if she wanted to do things right, then she'd have to tell him as soon as they began dating.
"Well, do you want to date him?" Lily asked, this wasn't something that (y/n) had thought of, not until recently at least.
I dunno, I like him, but I don't want to be forced into a situation." (y/n) muttered.
"You mean you're not ready to tell him the truth." Lily interrupted, it were as if she'd read the girls mind.
"I thought I was, but I don't know." (y/n) sighed, she wished that she were brave, brave enough to tell Sirius and the others, it was the only thing she had left to do. But with the thought of Clye, and the nightmares about Sirius, (y/n) knew that she needed a little more time. (y/n) had herself in a mind game, she believed that the whole sham was far more intense than it ever could be, that's what was holding her back.
"You need to tell him, and if you're planning on dating, I suggest communicating that." Lily stated, she'd said it so clearly, (y/n) nodded and began to slip into her pj's, she found the unscathed bar of chocolate that Sirius had given her.
She nibbled on some, immediately feeling revived. Shortly after the girl fell asleep, she didn't dream that night, which was unusual for her.
...
(y/n) couldn't even exit the common rooms without being bombarded by the Marauders, except Sirius.
"Congratulations." They cheered, (y/n) turned her head in confusion, she felt a knock forming in her stomach again.
"For what." The girl sighed, were they playing some sort of prank on her? Or had Sirius said something to them..
"Oh you know." Peter teased, he had the biggest grin on his face. (y/n) slapped her forehead and shook her head, what exactly had Sirius told them, and how much?
Thanks I guess." (y/n) sighed, she was still confused, the Marauders hadn't specified anything, just blurted out words and wore creepy grins. (y/n) sought out for the library, she'd been meaning to work on a few things, and she needed a bit of silence.
(y/n) had also been falling behind in work, thanks to her visits to the lake. The area was practically deserted now, students didn't even bother to look for mermaids, or have picnics, or whatever they did there.
The fat lady swung open, revealing Sirius on the other end, (y/n) hadn't even exited the common rooms yet. The boy immediately smiled at the sight of the girl, shed been given the impression that he'd been waiting there for a while, and the remarks from the fat lady insured that theory.
Sirius walked right up and kissed the girl, though this was much longer than the first few that he'd done, and far more passionate.
"Sirius what're-." (y/n) began, it was like their faces had been glued together. Sirius shushed (y/n), his fingers still remained on her lips, his eyes were focused on hers, he noticed how her eyes couldn't focus on his. Sirius moved his hand and shrugged his shoulders, he'd finally realized that he hadn't made it official yet, he'd just gone and kissed (y/n) out of the blue.
"We're dating now, aren't we?" Sirius muttered, he had a sort of puppy dog smile on his face, one that no one could ever resist.
"I guess so." (y/n) mumbled, she watched as Sirius' smile began to fade, she hadn't meant to sound so uninterested, there was just a lot on her mind. Instinct quickly consumed (y/n), causing her to reach for Sirius. She waited for a moment, then kissed him without hesitation. It was the first time she'd kissed him, in terms of initiating the kiss.
"Great, so why don't I accompany you to wherever you're going." Sirius snickered, his smile was so wide, and his eyes seemed much brighter than before. He had the girl under his spell with his charisma and pheromones, she just couldn't resist than smile anymore.
"Sure, why not." (y/n) stammered, she was hesitant on reaching for the boys hand, though Sirius quickly resolved the situation by grabbing onto (y/n) first. The two traversed through the grand halls that stretched throughout the school, they seemed very populated, which was an unusual sight on a Sunday at Hogwarts.
"They're all heading that way." Sirius whispered, he pointed towards the main hall, which was the direction that the crowd seemed to be going.
"I guess we'll follow." She said, (y/n) dragged Sirius alongside her, to prevent them from separating. A voice could be heard in the distance, which belonged to none other than Dumbledore, the schools headmaster.
"It has come to my attention that we haven't had a ball in ages." Dumbledore began, his grin was quite wide, which was reassuring to say the least. The man had hardly any reason to throw a ball and he'd only done so because of the several young couples and soon to be couples that he hoped to see in action. Dumbledore had also been in the mood for such a thing, he thought it would be fit to throw a ball for the school.
"A ball? It seems a little outrageous." (y/n) sighed, she began to head back towards the hallway though Sirius had dragged her back to him.
"I think it's lovely, but if you don't want to go then-." Sirius began, (y/n) felt strange inside, of course she wanted to go.
"I'm going, but I want to go alone." (y/n) muttered, she broke free from the boys grasp and slipped away from the boy. Jolene would be at the ball, and plenty of others as well. Though they hadn't truly influenced her decision. Still, the guilt of being with Sirius was thanks to Jolene, she couldn't do that to her, there was no harm in going alone, and perhaps she'd change her mind in time.
"Does that mean we're still together?" Sirius asked, (y/n) flailed her arms and walked off, she couldn't deal with the boys pointless bickering, and she couldn't deal with the thought of having a relationship.
"I don't know Sirius." (y/n) muttered to herself.
