"I don't know what to do Lily." (y/n) began, the two girls were seated in the common rooms, they'd been studying for hours and had finally managed to get some down time.
"She kissed him, of course she still likes him." (y/n) stated, she was beginning to panic, she really liked Sirius, so much so that she'd refrained from speaking with him and she'd completely stopped all eye contact.
"You like him too don't you, plus, it's not like she deserves him." Lily sighed, her words were harsh, but true (per usual). Lily had been completely taken aback by Jolene's actions, of course (y/n) believed that Sirius and Jolene had shared a mutual kiss, but Lily believed that the kiss was far more one sided than (y/n) had been leading on.
"I just don't want to lose her as a friend." (y/n) muttered, she'd gone through something similar with Remus, it was frightening when faced with the loss of a friendship, it was different than a breakup.
"I understand that, but you have to understand that you're feelings are also important in this matter. You can't keep ignoring them." Lily said sternly, she was hoping that this would be the end of the love talk, since she did not want to answer any personal problems at the moment. She preferred to listen to (y/n)'s issues, since they had solutions that she could easily come up with, her own problems were far more difficult. She hated feeling like a burden, and loosening up brought that feeling to her.
"What about you and James, I didn't see you at all last night." (y/n) said slyly, she was just hoping that they'd get together already, they were perfect for each other, plus James already liked the girl.
"We were hanging around." Lily mumbled, her face didn't change and her cheeks were still the usual pale color, (y/n) could tell that nothing had happened, though she wish something had.
"I see."
...
A surprise attack from Sirius caught (y/n) off guard, he'd caught her in one of those rare moments when she was alone. Maybe he'd planned for them to meet like this, or maybe it was just pure luck.
"How've you been." Sirius said, he had that same old wolfish grin that he always wore when trying to impress a girl, (y/n) had seen it a million times before.
"Fine." (y/n) sighed, she noticed how close the boy had gotten to her, he was making her nervous, he was certainly an expert in the craft.
"Just fine? Are you alright?" Sirius muttered, he refrained from placing the familiar hand on the shoulder, which surprised (y/n).
"I'm perfectly fine." (y/n) stated, placing emphasis on the perfectly. She wore a clearly fake smile, and began to walk quicker in hopes to lose the boy in an upcoming crowd.
This was of course an utter failure.
"I wasn't finished yet." Sirius began, he spun the girl around and looked her in the eyes. He handed her a letter, with a creamy white envelope and familiar writing. "Open it later." Sirius whispered, he was much closer than he'd ever been to the girl, besides the times he'd kissed her.
"Okay?" (y/n) mumbled, she stared at the letter for a moment, she wished that she'd remained silent. When she glanced up again, Sirius had disappeared.
The next to visit (y/n) on her walk to class was Jolene, she had the largest smile on her face, which could only mean one thing.
"(y/n), I know you're probably confused about Hogsmeade, just know that Sirius and I didn't mean anything by that kiss.. Think of it as a parting gift." Jolene said, she'd uttered the words so quickly that (y/n) barely had time to process them.
