(y/n) awoke the next morning, though something was different, when she'd dried off there were still remnants of her white scales all over her body. She hadn't noticed it until after first period, even Lily hadn't caught on.

Now (y/n) sat beside Sirius, he stared into her eyes, the same as always, with a little sparkle and charm in them.

"Look (y/n), I've been meaning to tell you this for some time." Sirius began, he had this sort of look on his face, it was unlike anything the girl had ever seen. The two were seated beneath a tree, in the quad, with plenty of students wandering about.

The sky was so beautiful up ahead, (y/n) looked up to admire it, then back at Sirius, who was still staring at her. She felt so calm in the moment, as if she weren't even registering what the boy was saying.

There was a crash of thunder, and soon the droplets came falling down. (y/n) could'nt lift herself up, she couldn't even move. Sirius was still at her side, and he just closed his eyes and rested his head back, letting the rain splash onto his face.

(y/n) quickly transformed, leaving her exposed in the quad, with everyone looking at her. Sirius brought his attention back to (y/n), his eyes fell upon the sight. His expression was ghastly and filled with fear, it shot terror into (y/n)'s heart, and immediately tears welled in her eyes.

(y/n) woke up for real after that, she jolted her head out of the water for real, and she dried off for real too. It was all just a dream, just a silly little dream with no meaning nor truth. Though in the moment, it had felt so real. (y/n) vowed to never let her secret get out, that meant that she could never tell Sirius, and she would never get caught up in the rain.

...

The Marauders, (y/n), and Lily all sat plainly at a large table in the Gryffindor common room. The presentations had been completed, and now it was time for a little leisure in the afternoon, classes were out after all, and the first trip to Hogsmeade was coming fast.

Remus and (y/n) sat beside one another, Lily beside (y/n), and of course once again, James across from Lily, Peter across Remus, and Sirius across from (y/n). The topic of Hogsmeade was on the rise, and the group couldn't quite figure out who was going with who.

"We ought to draw lots for this sort of thing." Peter mentioned, he began ripping popsicle sticks in halves and dotting colors on the ends.

"I don't think its necessary, why don't we all go stag and see who wants to do what." Sirius sighed, he didn't like the idea of being assigned a partner, especially not with something like Hogsmeade.

"How about Remus and I go together, and the rest of you just figure it out. We've always been going together, so I seen no harm in it." (y/n) mentioned, she looked up and smiled at the boy who sat beside her. Remus nodded in agreement to her plans, which seemed fair to everyone else.

"Well that's too bad since I was planning on going with Remu." Sirius spat, Lily and (y/n) shot glances at each other and focused back to Sirius.

"Well I'm going with Evans." James shouted, he reached for the girls hand and held it hight in the air.

"But I've got no partner now."

Soon everyone began bursting into arguments left and right, first with Remus and Sirius, then Peter joined in, and (y/n) shortly after. It had gotten so bad that Lily had to raise her voice, and when she did, it was utterly terrifying.

"Will all of you shut up, no one is going with anyone. Since you're all acting like children, we'll just show up and go our merry way." Lily shouted, she'd even had to stand up, and now her face was red hot from anger, and there was practically smoke coming out of her ears.
