I soon meet up with Demetri and as I stare at him I feel this pull, this attraction that I've never had when I was with Derek or Mark. We head down to Joe's bar, once there I order myself a very dirty martini. Demetri orders an old fashioned.
"So" Demetri looks at me "what's up?"
"I don't know" drinking some of my martini "seeing Lily is great" I tell him "but seeing her makes me think of my life. I mean she has the guy, kids" shaking my head "I had the same" looking at him "I had my husband, he was perfect"
"But" he asks "no one's ever that perfect"
"I cheated on him with his best friend" for some reason I can say this to Demetri and not feel like I can hold anything back "he wasn't around, I grew lonely and"
"You and Mark?" He asks
"Yes" nodding my head "Derek left, he met the perfect little twelve year old" Demetri chokes on his drink "she's not really twelve, but for a surgeon Meredith being an intern is basically her being a child to us attendings"
"Thank you for clearing that up" looking at me
"I mean with Mark we aren't a thing" I say "we tried but the only thing going for us was sex, I need more" I think "you know what?"
"What?" He asks
"I should have a baby" he just stares at me "no, seriously I need to have a baby" standing up "thanks for this" I walk out and I'll go to the best fertility specialist I know, Naomi Bennett.
~Demetri's POV~
I watch my mate walk off, a baby? I stare at my drink, pulling some cash out I go to the bar and hand the guy a hundred dollar bill. Leaving I head back to the two twins, when I get there I see Alec and Jane are playing Super Mario Bros.
"Isn't it past their bed time?" I ask, they jump looking at me.
"No" they pause the game, well one of them did.
"It's not?" Crossing my arms
"What's going on with you?" Jane asks "why does it smell like you were in a bar?"
"No reason" I soon leave but first I go to Crimson and Rowan "bed time" they complain as I bring them to their room.
~Lily's POV~
I groan waking up, looking around I see I'm in a hospital room. The last thing I remember is Addison delivering my babies and then I fall asleep hearing some yelling. I start to panic and look around "Mi amor" I look at Felix when he takes my hand "it's alright, it's alright"
"The babies?"
"Are perfectly fine" he assured me "they are in the NICU, they are beautiful"
"Really?" Tears well in my eyes
"Really" he shows me pictures of them intubated, I cover my mouth with my hand looking at each picture.
"Oh" wiping my tears away "I love them so much, when can we see them?"
"Tomorrow" he promises "when you are a bit better"
