Purpose

Derek woke up the sound of electric wiring,he rubbed sleep out of his eyes, as he rolled he collided with something solid,he opened his eyes and was startled to find Smith beside him,he groaned,this must be the reason why he felt so uncomfortable last night,but he had been too tired to even open his eyes,he raised his fist and contemplated punching him but he resigned to tapping him instead

"Hey, sleepyhead,wake up"the boy groaned but refused to wake up"come on it's uncomfortable with you here"he kicked him lightly but the boy did not budge, when Derek tapped him again the boy rolled away angrily,this action sent him falling so hard with a thud on the floor,he rolled around for a while whining and groaning, Derek was laughing so hard he had stitches in his side"ah ouch my back his broken,ah ah why do you like to bully me?is it because I'm small and you're big? wicked,hm,very wicked"the boy continued to roll on the ground crying fake tears,he refused to stand untill Derek stood up and went to him"eh,ok ok,so sorry about that,but it's not my fault,it's just that you refused to wake up"

Derek pulled him up gently and made him sit on the bed"is it a crime in your dictionary to wake somebody with a touch?why did you kick me to the ground?"Derek shook his head and burst into another round of laughter,Smith was annoyed and started to punch him, Derek caught his frailing hands easily,the boy struggled to escape"hey be calm,you know you got it wrong,I still don't know why you find the prison bed so comfortable that you totally forget how thin it is,you sleep like you're in your house,it's like each time you sleep you forget you're in jail, and I didn't kick you,you fell off by yourself"the looked at him in disbelief"why do I find it so difficult to believe you?"-"ah fine young mistress believe whatever you will"the boy stood up immediately and jagged a finger in Derek's chest wearing a funny look he asked"what did you just call me?did you by any chance call me a Sissy?"the way he was acting made Derek itch to laugh again but he controlled it"no way,how would I? I'll never say that to you my princess"-"what!!!you!"he stomped his foot on the ground in frustration"ah bullying me just like Eric does,hmph, annoying"-"who is Eric?"-"none of your business"Derek shrugged"must be your boyfriend"-"no way, I'm not gay, he's my brother"Derek smiled while nodding"wait,did you just manipulate me to tell the truth?hey that's unfair"Derek just shrugged,then the door rattled startling Smith

"You're so jumpy this morning"the boy just poked his tongue at Derek"hey pretty boy,time for your first assignment, come here,I really hope you're ready"Smith immediately looked panicked, Derek went to the warden luckily it was Sandy"can you keep an eye on him?"she looked him up and down"hey honey,seems one finally caught your attention after all this while"-"nothing of such, he's too frail, and you asked me to watch him so.."she nodded"yea, you're really doing that job,I heard you beat hulk and almost killed him,the boy is cute,I don't judge you"-"hey you're going off topic,I see him just as a little brother nothing else"-"hmmm"she nodded, seeing she didn't believe him he went ahead to speak"will you keep an eye on him or I should follow him out?"-"hey, I'm still the boss don't take my love for granted"Derek expelled a breathe"fine I'll take care of him out there,you also have a job to do today"Derek nodded and went to the frightened boy"you will be fine, she'll look out for you"Smith believed him immediately and went out with Sandy, Derek smiled as the boy looked at him with full trust, awhile later another warden came to fetch Derek,he was taken to a government establishment to go do some odd jobs,this helped him to raise some cash, when he got back to his cell Smith was not back yet,he was worried,he looked around the room and signed the place looked kind of boring without Smith,he stood up and paced around the place,the lock jingled and he wired around immediately, Smith came in drenched from head to toe and shivering"hey why are you this wet?"he asked checking the boy out"you were lucky to come in quickly before it began to rain"Sandy pushed him in gently and started to relock the door, Derek quickly held her back and whispered in her ear

"Come on, he'll die before the morning, he's visibly shaking"she cocked her head to the side"what is my business with that?"Derek looked at her impatiently"please,just a warm bath and some dry clothes"-"fine,you know my bills"he rolled his eyes"fine"she touched his jaw and smile"that's why I love you honey,it's always nice doing business with you"Derek laughed"stop it please,you just love my money"Derek went to the shivering boy"you're creating a river in this small cell"the boy nodded, smiling

"I know"his teeth was clattering already"come on pretty face, let's make it snappy"he followed Sandy,after like ten minutes he came back in dry clothes, Derek pulled him to sit on the bed and brought out a kind of balm"you're not too cold anymore right?"he nodded his head, Derek held his hands and rubbed the balm on it and his feet"how did your first job go?"Smith yawned"not bad,just cutting some grass, I'm so tired all my body ache"Derek smiled"sorry,the first day is always like that"he massaged his shoulders"go and sleep okay, tomorrow is another day"the boy looked at him"can I stay here tonight with you?"-"this bed is too small''-"please"-"fine ,come here"he cuddled the boy, warming him with his body"thank you for looking out for me Derek"-"hey it's okay,you asked me to be your brother remember?I'm just doing your request"Smith smiled before nodding off to sleep, Derek could not sleep immediately,fear of uncertainty,he had a purpose to fulfil,he needed to get his boy from social service and he had a plan in mind,he closed his eyes and succumbed to sleep
