The slash was not deep but the shock of the event was bearing down on Eric, Derek had attacked him without care,he didn't even bother removing the blindfold but fought through it,it was like he didn't want to look at him,he winced as the nurse dabbed the wound with antiseptic, remembering how the whole thing had gone made him want to cry,what really happened to Derek?and that last minute regret,he had stretched his arms to him lips quivering,he wanted to hold him and then Ian was there separating them

"hurry up miss"he wanted to get out of the hospital and find answers,he was worried about Derek, Ian would do anything to keep him, when the lady was done bandaging him,he stood up to leave"hold on sir, you need to go with some drugs...."he cut her off as he nodded to one of his guys"leave it with them"he hurriedly left with his people running behind him,he got home and went straight to his laptop,he was looking for a way to decode the number that had called him to give him Derek's location but after nany tries he gave up and groaned in frustration, he was pulling his hair when Smith entered wearing a long face

"did Derek really try to kill you?"he nodded and stood up to grab a drink from the bar"he fought me like he wanted my life, Derek is scared of the dark but in his blindfold he was so sharp picking out my location like it was so simple,it's like he got used to the darkness and he's making use of it,but the moment the knife made impact he looked like he regretted it,he dropped the knife and approached him,he wanted to touch me but that bastard came and separated us, something is totally wrong with that picture"Smith sat up drinking straight from the bottle"Derek has no reason to kill you bro, someone must have put something in his head to make him react this way"

Eric swallowed allowing the liquor burn his throat"I know I've offended him but I know Derek,if he wanted revenge he'll get it looking at me eye ball to eye ball"Smith scoffed"what did you do to him apart from not telling him the relationship between you and that devil"Eric stood up to pace the living room"Derek called me a day before he went missing but Ellen was here,she picked the call and you know how she can be, it was later I got to know she claimed to be my fiancee and blocked him from being able to contact me, and I forgot to unblock him too,I found the email he sent me asking for my help too late,he was already gone when I got the email"Smith was about to swear at him,but he was not in the mood to shout so he directed his anger to the wine glass he had grabbed,he clutched so tight it shattered bringing Eric back to the moment"I am so bitter,I feel like a fucking imbecile,if I had been able to take his calls maybe I'll would have avoided all this stress"

Smith was angry,he was bitting hard on his lips,Eric noticed and just nodded"stop bitting so hard,if you have something to say to me just say it"Smith shot up from his sit and grabbed his brother's collar"I warned you when you made a deal with that bitch,I told you she wanted to be close to you but you said what again?that I was a fool"he pushed him aside evidently shaking"I am sorry,I am so sorry,I feel exhausted, can you not add to my exhaustion by getting angry,help me figure it out please"Smith was angry yes but his brother's frustration made him know just how much he was suffering"first Derek is being held hostage, normally he's supposed to be tied but when you went there he was free except for the blindfold,why did he not fight his way out since he was not tied?"

Eric looked at his brother like he was an idiot"he's not going to fight because the man has Xavier in custody,if it we're just him do you think he'll still be there by now?"Smith signed and sat down"okay,another thing is how did he get a knife, and why did he attack you?it's not difficult to analyze, Ian definitely gave the knife to him and instigated him to do it but the Derek I Know will not do something like that if he was not heavily threatened,we need to figure out why he did it"Eric slumped on the floor, tiredness evident in his eyes,just then his phone lit up,it was a coded number like the initial time so he quickly picked up"hey"he breathed wincing as he adjusted himself on the floor"how is your injury?"-"you're aware of it,who exactly are you man?"a slight chuckle and the person went ahead to speak"of course I was there, everything that happens is seen on the camera and you'll be a fool if you don't understand  what happened was a set up"-"yes,I know,I suspected that but why?"-"Derek has not been himself since you left,he has been bothered and even cried,you need to figure out a plan to get him out"

"I would have gotten him out today if he had held my hand,I need to know what happened,that way I can plan well,why did he attack me?"the person paused before answering"the boss told him you were his accomplice and you were coming for a threesome"Eric choked on his drink and coughed severely,he wiped his mouth"what!that bastard"the person paused again"it looked very real the way he made him understand it so he attacked you out of anger but now he regrets it because I already told him what transpired and he wanted me to check if you were okay"-"can I talk to him?is it possible?I miss him so much"-"if you miss him that much come get him,the boss plans on fucking him tonight, he's going to use Xavier as a shield,if you don't want him to get what he wants come get your man out of here"

the line went dead and Eric shouted into his phone in anger"what is it?"Smith asked"that bastard son of a bitch, when I finally lay my hands on him I'm going to make sure I slice him in pieces when he's alive and let him watch as the dogs devour his flesh"he took a big swing from his liquor"give me the update Eric"-"the bastard made Derek believe I was with him and I was coming over for a threesome"Smith had the same reaction as his brother,he choked on his drink"what!!!"Eric just nodded"man, he really wants you dead and what better way if it's your lover that killed you"Eric knew he needed help but he can not afford to be careless because of their safety,it would have been easy if it was just one person
