Never enough(Derek's POV)

Hi lovelies!this story is gradually nearing the end and believe me I feel reluctant to drop this book because I've become pretty attached to the characters but dragging it is not a good idea Soo...it's gonna have to finish soon, thanks for getting to this point,it means alot💜💜💜

Beep beep beep,the sound was annoying to my ears as I look around the darkness,the same darkness that felt like solitude now feels suffocating,funny enough I remember what had happened to me and what do I feel?Regret! I should have stayed and talk it out maybe leave if it was unbearable but I had to just be stupid again,this is not me helping them,infact I fear I have made them more guilty and Willing to Join me down this path,so I struggle to reach that tiny gleam of light in the distance but it goes further out of reach,I feel terrified,

I began to feel restless so I run towards it but as if the light noticed my intention began to quickly move away,I open my mouth to scream and it feels like I'm drowning,my eyes stung,my throat hurt, I'm coughing and trying to reach the surface when suddenly I'm thrown out like a rag,I look around to see who had help throw me out and I see the faint silhouette of a woman,she was smiling and waving at me and she had almost disappeared before I figured out why she looked so familiar,I ran towards the fading figure

"mama!"I yelled,she looked at me with those beautiful green eyes which I see everyday in the mirror and smiled"you've grown,go don't be careless again,your little one awaits you,you have a whole family waiting for you,run ahead"and in a few minutes she finally dissolved,it was like she was never there,I wailed Calling for her to come back, it wasn't until I feel my surroundings change before I stood up and began to run again,it was like I was in a building and it was collapsing,I see brick walls falling and I avoid it as I run faster my lungs burning, I've almost reached the light when a big brick wall fell and sealed me inside,

I panicked as I was once again left in darkness with only my heart beat to accompany me but when I was about to give up hope I see a hand stretched towards me and a single word"come"I grab the hand and to my surprise it was strong,the person began running towards the blocked place and I tried telling him there was no way out untill we at least lift the wall or punch a hole through it but he kept pulling me along murmuring"there is no time,hurry"I closed my eyes as we neared the wall expecting us to collide with the wall but to my surprise we walked right through it,I gradually opened my eyes and I was looking at the most beautiful scenery ever,the person who had rescued me stood with his back facing me,so I try to say something to get his attention"thank you"he chuckled and said"so many things are not what it seems,lots of things in life are just illusions,the illusions we've created for our self's or the one we allowed others create for us,they feel real but when you go closer you see they were never there to begin with"

I knew immediately he was talking about the wall, when he turned around I had tears in my eyes"Eric?"I croaked out"I love you baby, I'll always be here,never listen to words that comes from my mouth sometimes I fear to loose you and make silly mistakes"I was nodding my head and didn't know when he disappeared,I feel a sudden suffocation in my chest and when I fall to the ground groaning I hear the sounds again only this time it was accompanied with voices

"he moved,I swear I saw him move"someone was saying, I'm trying to open my heavy eyes but it feels like my head would drop with the force behind my heavy eyelids,I hear more noises as annoying as they were it was kind of soothing"he twitched yes call the doctor,go call the doctor"I see someone come closer to me"pa?"I tried replying but couldn't,I hear shuffling around and the person in front of me was moved away,after sometimes I feel so tired and drained,I began to succumb to the darkness that was calling to me,I hear someone speak as if through tears"why is he closing his eyes again,he...he"I didn't hear him finish because he broke down"calm down sir, he's stable now, we'll be removing the tubes and stuff, he's just tired and right now needs to sleep, he's out of danger,all you have to do is wait for him to wake up okay, he's conscious now"I can't see anything clearly,my eyes feels like it's being covered with a film,I wanted to hug this person and tell him I was fine but I was so spent,I heaved a breathe and closed my eyes to peace,it just could never be enough the thing called love

So sorry for a short chapter,hmm,do you believe that people see things when they are out of the body?well I do,I believe there is just a thin line between life and death and a bridge to cross before you're finally out of this world,so grateful Derek didn't cross over right?me too,now let's see what's gonna happen next,I love you all,please leave a comment and recommend also don't forget to vote💜💜💜
