Eric was so angry spittles was forming at the corners of his mouth,he looked at his brother sitting on the sofa,legs crossed and sipping his champagne like he had not just done something so wrong and unacceptable,he shook his head trying to reign his anger in"Smith"he yelled, making the boy spill the drink on the sofa"hey man, don't yell like that,you almost killed me,my spirit is practically out of my body"he approached him quietly but the look in his eyes made Smith run away from the sofa

"Hey hey calm down please,oh my God,stay where you are I don't want to die"he continued retreating but Eric followed him until the wall barred his escape,he closed his eyes waiting for a slap or a blow but nothing came so he cracked his eyes open and smiled when he saw Eric glaring at him, Eric punched the wall instead in frustration"I sent you to that place for another reason and here you are coming back with another purpose,who told you to accept that ridiculous mission,is my house a nursery for kids?"Smith signed and returned to his seat"come on, he's not a child,the young man is seventeen,he just needs to be here until you get his big brother out of jail finish"Eric looked at him like he was saying nonsense"are you crazy?not only did you promise to take care of his brother,you also promised to get him out of jail,have you lost it?I can not do any of this things"-"you can not or you  will not and don't want to to"Eric was irritated to a point he pulled his shoe and threw it at his brother who dodged it and went back to drinking,he stormed out of the living room and Smith quickly followed him

"See I am sorry I promised him without letting you know first but seriously that guy needs help,he has been in custody since he was twelve, and now he is already twenty seven, don't you think an injustice is being done to him?to the jury it's just as if he does not exist because someone is making sure of that,I want you to help get him out"-"and why?,I don't even know what he did,you need to stop accepting to help everyone you met in prison just because they appear innocent"and that's when Smith lost it,he slammed his palm on the side table in Eric's room making the lamp fall and shatter"will you stop it? Derek is innocent and he did what he did for his and his sister's defense, Derek was abused by an uncle since Ten and was made to understand no body would help him,this uncle of his Even abused him under his father's nose and got Scott free, his father would beat him and his sister at the slightest provocation and do you blame that twelve year old for stabbing his father to death when he could no longer take both the emotional and physical trauma,if it was you would you not have done worse,I believed his story because of how he defended me when he saw someone try to abuse me in prison and that night I was able to see a tiny glimpse,just a little glimpse of what that twelve year old went through with no one to help him,his sister left her son behind when he was jailed and till date no one knows where she is, and I beg you to help,is it too much?is he not supposed to be heard and judged according to the law?why can't you do that,I am not asking you to bribe anyone for his freedom,just get his case reopened so that he gets justice"

Tears had streamed down his face during his outburst, he angrily swiped them away"if you insist on not helping fine, I'll get someone else to do it and I promise you that I'll make sure he leaves that horrible place before the end of this month"he turned and made his way out of his brother's room with tears blinding him Eric ran after him and pulled him for a hug"fine fine,it's okay stop crying,I am sorry,come on,I promise I'll do it okay,I will help them okay"Smith nodded but continued crying anyways"let me get dressed and we will go visit those couples okay?"Smith smiled and hugged him back"thank you,I really appreciate"Eric nodded and pulled Smith with him back into his room"sit here,I'll be back"and so they prepared and went to look for the couples when they got there Eric's mouth was wide open when he saw the boy with gold locks and green eyes,he shook his head constantly maybe he was an illusion but the boy was still there, radiating like an angel Even Smith could not take his eyes away from the boy"this is Derek for sure,are you sure this boy is his brother or his son?"the old couple saw them looking at Xavier and called to them"hi sorry for staring,just that the boy looks so much like my friend Derek,ah sorry my manners,I am Smith,this is my brother Eric"they shook hands"Derek sent me to you"they looked at each other and invited them into the house"Xavier get water for our guests"the boy nodded and left,a while later they all sat and discussed the reason for their visit,the couples were happy but insisted they must hear from Derek himself before they take any step"are you going to see my Dad?"both Eric and Smith looked at Xavier in shock but nodded anyways,the couples look at their confusion and laughed"don't be confused, Xavier has refused to refer to Derek as uncle or brother because he's the only father figure he knows,he is also aware of every thing he is sacrificing for him because it was not kept secret from him so he insists on calling him Dad"they both nodded in understanding"but why Did nobody say anything about the troubles he was going through in the hands of his father"-"boy there are somethings that you don't know about until it got worse,we regret not helping him then that's why we made sure Xavier stays with us,but right now we no longer can keep him with us, we really pray he get out"Eric smiled

"Yes I plan on getting him a good lawyer to reopen his case,I hope you'll come out as a witness then"they both nodded"are you aware that Derek's uncle sexually abused him?"they looked at themselves"we guessed something was wrong but he never spoke, it felt like he was afraid of something so we stopped asking"-"well he was abused by his uncle since Ten until he clocked twelve and his father refused to help or even listen to him,that's why he killed his father,he saw him beating his sister and could not take it anymore"the couples appeared to be surprised but agreed to help testify in court so they bade each other goodbye and left
