Broken?

Eric was busy packing the stuffs they had come to the hospital with,he smiled when he saw his babies asleep,he was filled with a different kind of excitement, Derek was finally going home back with him after almost a year apart,he was so happy his cheeks hurt from all the smiling he was doing,Xavier had his head tucked under Derek's arm, while Smith nestled himself on Derek's belly,they all snored softly,he went to give Derek a kiss on the forehead making the guy pout annoyingly in his sleep"fine,five more minutes,we need to leave"his reply was to turn away making Smith grumble and grab his waist,

Derek himself laid half on top of Xavier,Xavier winced but was too lazy to complain,he did not blame them anyways,it's been long they had a peaceful sleep and this moment was rare,the door slightly opened and a new doctor peeked into the room, Michael had gone for that said vacation with his mother so he was not around"Hi,good morning"the new doctor greeted smiling broadly"hi doctor"the doctor came fully into the room"please just call me Morgan,how is he doing this lovely morning?"Eric smiled and nodded to the bed where three adults were clustered"fine I'll love to believe"there was a moment of  fear and uncertainty in his eyes but he shook the off,the doctor just nodded"don't be worried ok, he's a strong person I'm sure he'll be fully back on his feet in no time,but while they're still asleep I'll love to tell you some facts so that you'll be prepared ok"Eric nodded and sat in the chair

"it's a big miracle he's recovering this fast and believe me when I say I've not seen anyone deal with the kind of trauma he has in just few months,some people tend to be lost for years while others become livid for life,so don't expect to find him one hundred percent healed, when you touch him there is a lot of probability that he's still going to freak out,get shocked or jumpy,don't be surprised if he still has nightmares, eating disorders or depression, he'll still have sometimes severe flashbacks and might scream unnecessarily if he's overwhelmed"the doctor raised his eyes to know if Eric was following and only continued when Eric nodded

"he needs time to fully heal, don't leave him alone too much to about depression and sometimes let him be so that he doesn't have separation anxiety,do stuffs that are his favorite,make him smile and I'm sure you know best way to make him happy and loved"he said the other part wiggling his brows,Eric looked at him amused the man coughed and continued"don't do stuffs that'll set him off or make him remember what he had gone through, keep away people,things, topics or stuff that could trigger him and finally you'll still have to bring him in for check up from Time to time"he smiled as he finished and Eric laughed,he was going to try his best then,the instructions were too long so Eric figured he might have to make a list,he shrugged and smiled as Derek began to stir,he grumbled when he noticed the burden attached to his waist and another one latching into his neck,he opened his eyes and cursed"fucking human koalas,get fucking hell off of me"he pried Smith's fingers away from his waist and pulled Xavier away from him"god how did I end up with this kids"he grumbled as he began to step down from the bed"hey!baby"Eric called and Derek froze in his spot before beaming"hey yourself handsome"he rushed out of bed and threw himself on Eric's neck"you good baby?"he nodded and Eric placed a quick kiss on his lips,Eric carried him placing two hands underneath his ass to hold to glued to his chest

"i missed you darling"he kissed him again,this time full on the lips and it lasted a while,a soft cough pulled them out of their romantic time and Derek blushed a deep shade of red when he saw the doctors face but instead of jumping down he held tighter to Eric, hiding his blushed face into the crook of his neck"how are you feeling Mr Derek?"the doctor ask, trying to hide his grin"I am fine,I want to go home"the doctor smiled and took the clip chart from the nurse behind him, checking something"well I don't see why you cannot do that,let us just run some test for a couple of hours then you can leave hmm?"Derek nodded finally stepping away from Eric to wake the two boys who had for some Reasons best known to them ended up tangled around themselves on the bed, when they refused to bulge he began to tickle their feet and they finally responded, sitting up they look groggy and sleep deprived even though they both slept through the night"get your lazy ass out of that bed or I'm gonna ask this handsome doctor to plug tubes into the both of you either you need it or not"that seemed to do the trick because they both scurried out of bed looking like they've seen a ghost or something,Eric shook his head,they chatted a bit with doctor as he took blood samples and other stuffs,after a while they were all packed in the car jamming to a hit song as they drove home,amidst the happiness Derek closed his eyes and went to sleep,

Derek awoke to someone lifting him out of the car and into the house,he smiled as he looked up at Eric with love,Eric sat him down and kissed him"welcome back home baby,I really missed you"Derek smiled and looked around"I'll get you your favorite mocha"he went away into the kitchen and Derek stood up to survey the house,he signed and asked himself,just if he had waited that fateful day and allowed Eric to explain would he have ended up suffering like he did?just if he had not stepped away from the house in anger, would they have worked something out? would Ian be able to lay his hands on him again? he recoiled in disgust as that face came into his memory,Eric came back and handed him a cup of mocha,he took a sip and continued to look around,he left this house almost a year now and he's back,how did that make him feel?he signed deeply,too lost in his thoughts he didn't realize Eric was talking to him and jumped when Eric touched spilling his drink on Eric,a look of horror crossed his face before he blinked and realized the situation,he quickly put his cup down"oh my,I'm sorry baby, I'm so sorry,does it hurt?what did I do?"he was furiously wiping at Eric's shirt and Eric noticed how his fingers were shaking so he quickly held them

"hey,hey baby,calm down ok,it's just a mistake,see I'm fine, nothing is wrong, it's okay, don't fret"he continued to whisper to him and became confused when Derek collapsed in tears, everything was okay in the morning,how come it's like they suddenly took ten steps backwards"I'm sorry Eric, I'm broken,you can't mend me,I understand if you get tired,I'll not complain but if you're going to leave give me a headstart okay"-"what are you talking about?"Derek laughed bitterly and bit his lips"who'll want a broken clock when he can get a brand new one?"Eric looked taken aback so he pulled him closer to look into his eyes"now listen to me baby, you're not broken,I love you, every inch of you I adore,you're strong, beautiful, handsome,cute,I don't even know how to qualify you and I'll have you forever,no body else can take this space you have in my heart,I love you honey don't listen to whatever your demons are saying,I gat you love, okay?"Derek nodded through his tears and hugged Eric as he cried himself to Oblivion
