The past that hunts me

Hi!I'm so sorry for the late update, been busy with a lot of things at once and it's kind of weighing down on me,guys wish me luck I submitted an application for the defense corps in my country!

Derek sat on the end of the sofa pouting,it's been like over a month since he almost drowned and every attempt he made to convince Eric it was not a suicide attempt was totally ignored or not believe,it hurts him so much that Eric didn't believe him,he looked at Eric who was busy on his laptop just as always,he seem to have alot to deal with since the event of last month or maybe this was his way of avoiding him?he signed sadly and moved closer to Eric,he could see the way he flinched even though he was not near enough,he gently touched his arm,he could feel Eric resist the urge to jerk away,he watched him heave a sign before facing him,a cold and unreadable look on his face"what's wrong Derek?"yea that was another thing,no more baby,no more love,no more sugar,right now Derek hated the sound of his name coming from those lips,he went closer to him anyways"Baby,can you give me a bit of your time?I feel like you're not here anymore"Eric rolled his eyes"I'm here Derek stop being dramatic"he removed his hands from Derek's own and continued tapping away on his laptop"Baby, you're here but I feel otherwise,you're far from me"he tried taking his hands again but that just made Eric stand up"can you please let me work?I have alot of work that I've abandoned for so long and I really need to fix them,so please stop whining and let me focus"Derek flinched at the sound of his cold voice but he was getting frustrated so he yelled"why do I feel like you're avoiding me Eric,are you avoiding me now?"Eric was so red with anger he didn't think before he answered"yes!yes Derek I'm avoiding you so don't make it anymore difficult,who wants to continue spending their time repairing a very old,crushed and damaged soul?" Derek froze"I'm tired Derek I wish you could just leave,stop making my life miserable"Derek took a shaky step backwards trying to fight the tears that was starting to gather in his eyes,just then Smith came in and held him when he almost collapsed"what the fuck is wrong with you Eric?why would you say that to him?"Eric scoffed while gathering his laptop and phone in his arms"the truth is fucking bitter Smith,he can not even take it, maybe I would have not had to say it if he had stayed away from me just as I hinted,if it's not that he's dumb why can't he take a simple hint,I stopped sleeping in the same room with him,I stayed away at breakfast and dinner and I don't talk to him,a normal sane person would have gotten the hint"a sharp and crisp sound echoed around the room, Eric looked at his brother who had slapped him"you will not talk to him like that you idiot,I don't know what had gotten into you but I hate this you,go fuck yourself man"Smith spat with so much anger"come on Derek,hey look at me,don't listen to him he's a fool and a jerk, come on please stop crying ok,I'm sorry you had to hear this from him of all people but believe me you're not broken,you make tremendous changes that so many people would not be able to make so Don't listen to him"by now Smith's voice was filled with so much emotion and be had tears in his eyes as he pulled Derek into a hug and allowed him sob into his chest,Eric who could no longer take the emotion swirling inside him left the living room and ran up into his room once the door shut he flung his laptop on the wall and shattered the glass table in his room with his fist,he wanted to scream so much but he bit down hard on the back of his hand to resist it,he allowed his tears to flow as he repeatedly punched the wall releasing his anger and frustration on the crumbling wall and breaking of his knuckles,yes he was officially a jerk and an asshole but what can he do with this situation he was in,how can he explain to the only person he has ever loved that he was not the problem but a past he has forgotten has come back to hunt him down?

Sorry this chapter is short so I'm going to make a double update, quick question though,what do you think is happening with Eric?do you think he meant what he said?what is the past that's hunting him now?let me know your answers,I'll see you at the other page💋💋💋
