So here I was, ready for another day at school. It was time to find out if Sheryl's blackmail had worked or not. If I actually got left alone today it would make me so happy.

"Ok I'm off to class, text me if you need me" Sheryl smiled.

We went our separate ways and I headed to my first class, when I got there Emily and Angela were already in class. As soon as I walked in the door their full attention was on me, Angela opened her mouth to say something but Emily nudged her and whispered something. I took my seat and waited for the class to start..

By the time it got to lunch time I was amazed, I think it has actually worked, maybe they were finally go leave me alone. In the cafeteria I was queuing up for lunch when Keith came up behind me, he made eye contact for a split second then pushed past me. It was just the way he always was, maybe I didn't have to be scared anymore.

I got my lunch and headed over to where the others were sitting, Sheryl wasn't there it was only Justin and joey.

"Hey guys" I smiled as I sat down.

"Hi krys, how you feeling today?"

"Much better thanks joey, think I just had a 24 hour bug or something"

My day at school had gone much faster than usual, I think that was because Emily had left me alone. It was the best day I'd had at school for ages, I did miss Sheryl at lunch though. When I got home my dinner was ready so I ate that then headed upstairs to get on with school work.

I had my earphones in so I couldn't hear mum knocking which she must of been doing because when I looked up she was standing there looking serious which made me jump. I thought it was a ghost at first because i just seen her from the corner of my eye and she was wearing white, pulling out my earphones I could feel my heart beating faster.

"Mum! I thought you were a ghost! You scared me"

Her face went from serious to amused, she obviously found it funny.

"You were ignoring me.. Anyway I brought you a sandwich" she put the sandwich down and sat on my bed next to me.

"Thanks mum, do what are you after?"

"What makes you think I'm after something? I just wanted to talk to my daughter"

"I know you mum.. So what do you want to talk about?"

I knew she was in my room and making me a sandwich because she wanted to find out something. All the signs were there.

"How was school?" She smiled.

"It was fine.. Get to the point mum"

There was a silence for a minute so I took a bit out of my sandwich, maybe she was going to ask about Emily? Maybe someone had said something?

"How's Sheryl?" She winked.

"She's fine.. Why are you winking?" Mum was acting weird.

"Do you two like each other?"

"Of course we do, we are best friends" I looked at mum and she had a stupid big grin on her face.

"You two are more than friends, you must be!"

"Honestly mum we are just friends.. Although we are going on a date on Friday night"

"Really? That's great! Where are you going?"

"I don't know, it's a surprise. So I take it you approve?" I laughed.

"What do you think?! I love Sheryl, she's such a sweet girl. Plus she's a good influence on you missy"
