Krystel
The next morning I woke up my head was a bit fuzzy. I heard music coming from downstairs so I got up and walked down. Sheryl was making pancakes. She noticed me standing there and laughed.
"Feeling a little delicate this morning, babe?" she said grinning. I loved it when she called me babe for some reason.
"Ugh, I blame you! It's all your fault!"
"You brought the alcohol around so you only have yourself to blame, don't you? Sit down and have some orange juice and pancakes," she said pulling a chair out.
"You'd make the perfect girlfriend," I said sitting down and taking a sip of the orange juice. Sheryl was laughing at me and filled my glass back up.
"So you still think I'm pretty now that you're sober," she said sitting down beside me. I could feel myself turn red. Oh God!
"You are soo cute Krys, I could eat you!"
"Well... You are... I mean... You know... You are pretty." Why the hell was I stuttering?! I put it down to being hungover. "How come you feel fine?"
"It's 'cause I'm amazing! Here take these tablets, you'll be fine," she passed me some tablets and I took them. I stuffed my mouth with the pancakes that were for me.
"You got anything planned for today?" Sheryl asked me.
"Not much, but I could do with some tlc. How about you?"
"I'm not doing a thing. I was gonna say we could have a lazy day, watch some movies? I might even give you some tlc if you're lucky?" Now there was an offer I couldn't refuse.
We ended up laying on the sofa all day, eating ice cream and left-over snacks from the night before. Sheryl even cuddled me while watching the films, I loved just doing nothing with Sheryl. We didn't have to do anything to have fun. I ended up staying over again.
I left at 10 o'clock the next morning since I had to get home. I took a shower and changed before meeting Nick and Justin. I met up with the guys around 1.30pm. We were going bowling and I was so rubbish at it that it was funny.
"So, why didnt you invite Sheryl to come along?" Nick asked while Justin took his shot.
"I don't know, I didn't know if you guys would mind. I just don't wanna lose anymore friends," I said thinking about Paige and Angela. Some 'friends' they were anyway I thought to myself.
"Krys, we are all best friends, you are not gonna lose us. To be honest I kinda thought Angela and Paige would go off on their own. They aren't like us. They are bitchy and horrible. Did you notice how things are more fun now? And plus we like Sheryl, she's cool. Ain't that right Justin?"
"Yep, Sheryl's lovely. I can't believe you thought we would mind."
I thought about it. Of course I was being stupid, I knew the guys would be cool about it. I'm lucky to have them. "I'm sorry guys. How about we all go to the cinema during the week?" I asked excitedly.
"That sounds like fun," said Justin.
We finished off the game and headed home.
Walking to school the next day I was a little earlier than usual but I'd lost an essay and I was praying it was in my locker otherwise I'd have to write it all over again. I opened my locker and started looking through everything. 'Why the hell is there so much junk in here??' I thought. Then I spotted it 'Oh yes, thank God.'
"Look, it's Krystel!" I turned around to see Paige. She was grinning.
"Hey Paige, what's new?" just as I said that Angela and their friend Nina appeared behind her. I shut my locker.
"First time I've seen you without your little girlfriend," Paige laughed.
"If you're talking about Sheryl then she's my friend. Just like you guys are friends," they all started laughing.
"Whatever Krystel. You guys are more than friends. Having little sleep overs all the time, it's cute." I was getting a bit pissed off now.
"It's normal to stay over at your friend's house. What happened to you guys anyway? I thought we were friends?" I asked wanting to hear their answer.
"You chose your little lesbian lover girl over us, but hey whatever floats your boat. Dyke," Angela laughed and walked away, the other two followed behind her like little puppy dogs. What just happened? Why did they keep saying we were lesbians? Jealous because we actually have a proper friendship. Idiots. I sat down, I felt a bit weird. Do other people think we are lesbians? I don't get it! I saw Sheryl walking in with Joey and Nick.
"Hey guys" I said quietly. They sat down beside me. I felt a bit sick.
I wasn't really paying attention in class and before I knew it, it was lunch time. I didn't bother going into the lunch hall and just went outside to sit on the grass. I was in my own little world.
"Hey you, I brought you a drink," I looked up, it was Sheryl. She sat down next to me. "Have I said or done something wrong?" she said quietly.
"Of course you haven't, sorry. I'm just having one of these days. Just feel a bit down, I'll be fine tommorow," I smiled.
"Are you sure?" she asked looking worried.
"Positive. Thanks for caring though," I smiled.
"I care more than you think, Krys. You're my best friend, I don't wanna see you upset. Here I brought you a tuna salad roll, too" I laughed. She knows me too well.
"Thanks Sheryl," she smiled and I couldn't help but smile at her cute dimples.
