Krystel
I could smell the food from the kitchen, Sam was making spaghetti bolognaise. Just then she came out with the plates.
"Dinner's served, princess," she smiled putting the plates down. It looked great and I was starving!
"Thank you very much," I said. Sam had done the table all nice and put candles out and music on, it felt nice and romantic.
"So have you had a good day?" she asked.
"Just catching up on homework, I missed you. Sheryl popped around for 10 minutes, she seemed a bit weird, probably just me being paranoid. Anyway how was work?" I asked taking a sip of my drink.
"It was fine, you do know Sheryl doesn't like me?"
"She does like you. She would say something if she didn't, trust me," I said. Sam thought for a minute.
"I'm not stupid, I know when somebody doesn't like me, Krystel." she said sounding a little angry. I don't know where that came from, I thought Sheryl and Sam both liked each other.
We ate dinner in silence, I hated confrontation so I didn't want to argue with her.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked eventually.
"I'm not mad at you, just don't know why you can't see through Sheryl. She's a bit fake."
"Well, that's your opinion, she's my best friend. I'm not asking you to like her Sam."
"Just watch your back that's all I'm saying, she seems very jealous of our relationship, don't you think?" she asked.
"No, I don't think. I don't really wanna argue, Sam."
"I'm not arguing babe. Let's just change the subject, okay?" she smiled. Her phone then started ringing, it was in the kitchen.
"I'll be right back," she said getting up. I sat there for a few minutes thinking about why Sam was so certain Sheryl didn't like her. She'd never said anything to me about Sam, she'd always been nice about her. I got up and started clearing the plates. I walked into the kitchen as Sam hung up.
"Who was that? Anybody important?" I asked.
"Nah, just my mum telling me she'll be back a bit later. So that means we have some time," she smiled walking towards me. She slid her hands around my waist and kissed me gently. I kissed her back teasing her tongue with mine. She started slowly kissing my neck and sliding her hands up my top.
"I'm sorry Sam, I'm not ready," I said pulling away, I knew she wanted to go further.
"Of course! Do you have any idea when you will be ready? Or do you wanna just hold hands forever?" she snapped.
"I'm sorry," I said feeling bad.
"It's fine, let's watch a film then," she sighed.
"Actually I need to get back now. Will I see you tommorow?"
"Not sure, I'll text you though."
"Okay, well thanks for dinner, it was lovely." I said walking to the door.
"No probs. I'll call you tomorrow, okay?" she said kissing me goodbye.
"Okay, bye."
"Bye." She shut the door behind me.
I think she was getting fed up waiting on me. Everybody else was doing it so why couldn't I? I just got scared I guess. I walked through the park and decided to walk to Sheryl's workplace. I wanted to see if she was still being weird. Walking in, I noticed Sheryl sitting at a booth eating a sandwich. I walked over and sat down opposite her. She smiled at me, I smiled everytime I saw those dimples.
