Chapter 42

Krystel

When I woke up the next day I had another text from Emily saying she loved me. I text her back saying it was too late. After I had a shower I went downstairs for some breakfast.

"Honey do you mind if your father and I stay out tonight? We were thinking about going out for dinner and making a night of it"

"Ugh.. That's enough information. Go have fun!"

"We are trusting you Krystel, please don't let us down"

"I won't.. Promise"

"Good, I've text Sheryl and she's agreed to stay tonight"

"I don't need a babysitter mum!"

"It's not a babysitter, I thought you'd like your friend staying over?"

I would like it, I would like it much more than I probably should, but I didn't want to show it.

"Do you think you and Sheryl and friends now, texting and all that" I laughed.

"It was your idea to get her a phone sweetie" dad grinned.

They disappeared to get ready and I ate my breakfast. I was looking forward to getting out tonight, I arranged to meet Sheryl at the student bar around 7pm, I had a few hours to go so watched a film before I started getting ready. Mum and dad left around 5, I was glad they felt they could trust me.

"Hey you're here!" Justin smiled. I wasn't that late, I don't know why but I always seemed to leave things until the last minute then end up being late.

"Better late than never!"

"I got you a drink" Sheryl said.

"Thank you, so I hear you're staying at mine tonight?"

"Yeah, I'm babysitting you babe" she laughed.

We were all having a good time, it was good just chilling out with friends instead of getting wasted and not remembering where you were. Feeling my phone vibrate I got it out and noticed 2 texts from Emily, then she started ringing. She wasn't going to let this go. I text her and told her I was out with friends, she replied almost immediately asking me to meet me outside in ten minutes.

"You ok krys?"

"Yeah my mum just text, wants me to ring her"

I went outside, pretending I was going to ring her. Looking around I noticed Emily sitting around the corner, she smiled when she seen me and I made my way over to her.

"What do you want Emily?"

"I want you krys, I've never wanted somebody more"

"Sorry but we are over Emily"

She looked hurt, I didn't want to her her. All I wanted was for her to get on with her life and leave me alone. She started crying.

"Please don't cry Emily" I didn't like seeing anyone cry.

"I really do love you krys, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me"

I put my arm around her to comfort her when she leaned in to me and kissed me. I didn't push her away like I thought I would though, instead I kissed her back.

"Very cosy" a voice said interrupting us. I snapped back to reality and pulled away from her. Emily was smiling now, tears had all gone. I turned around to face Sheryl. To say she looked angry was an understatement.

"You see the fact is Sheryl, Krystel will always pick me over you. She is so stupid, she believes anything you tell her"

A boy then came over and put his arm round Emily.
