Krystel
I couldn't wait to see Sheryl today, I just loved spending all my time with her. Listening to her talk, seeing her gorgeous smile, the smell of her perfume- I don't think there was one thing about her I didn't like. To me she was perfect and far too good for someone like me. Why she even bothered with me, especially after the way I'd treated her, I'd never know. I was so glad she didn't give up on me though.
Waiting by the coffee machine, I sat down. Knowing this was the first place she'd come to, I got my books out and started looking through some stuff.
"Hey Krys."
Looking up, Emily was standing in front of me smiling. My heart started to beat a little bit faster. Why was she saying hi? She had to be up to something. I didn't know what to do or say I just wanted her to go away, everything had been good and I wanted it to stay like that.
"Don't worry I'm not here to cause trouble," she said still smiling, and it wasn't that fake sarcastic smile I was used to get from her.
"Then why are you here, Emily?"
"I wanted to apologise. For the way I treated you, I mean. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and I hope you can forgive me one day maybe?"
She actually looked like she was being serious but you never could tell with Emily. She sat down beside me and took my hand.
"I know we will never be friends, I don't expect that at all. I just wanted to let you know that I'm truly sorry for the way I treated you okay?"
"You're right. We will never be friends," I said quietly. As I looked up, I noticed Sheryl was standing there, realising Emily was holding my hand I quickly pushed it away. My heart was now beating so fast it felt like it was going to explode!
"Hey Sheryl..." I could see the anger in her eyes, not really knowing what to say I just stood there and waited for her to speak. She didn't though, instead I got a look. A look I definitely did not like, especially from Sheryl. Turning around, she walked away from me.
"I'm sorry, Krys." Emily's voice said from behind me.
"You're always sorry Emily. Just stay the hell away from me!"
The bell rang so I couldn't go after Sheryl. Making my way to class, the good mood I was in this morning had now gone.
I didn't manage to catch Sheryl until lunch and she was sitting with the other guys so I just waited for her to finish, the last thing I wanted to do was make things awkward in front of the guys. It was about ten or fifteen minutes before she walked through the door. She noticed me straight away.
"Sheryl, let me explain..."
"I'm really not in the mood, Krys. I mean, how stupid are you? I don't want to talk to you."
And with that she walked off. I just let her go. If her attitude was going to be like that I didn't really want to talk to her either.
...
School was soon over and I couldn't of been more glad. Packing my stuff up, I just wanted to get home, I'd hardly spoken a word to anyone all day. Just as I was leaving, Justin grabbed my arm.
"Hey. You gonna tell me what's up?"
"I'm fine, Justin."
"Okay, well, I know that's a lie! Wanna grab some dinner?" He smiled.
"Not tonight, I just want to go home and have an early night, I'm really tired. Sorry."
I wasn't really in the mood to talk and I knew Justin would keep asking about Sheryl, which I definitely wasn't in the mood for either. Saying goodbye to Justin, I quickly walked back home. When I got in, there nobody was home. Mum had left a note saying she and dad would be back late and to get a take away with the money she'd left on the side. I wasn't that hungry so just left the money on the side. Grabbing a drink from the fridge, I turned the TV on and looked for something good to watch.
