"Are you up sweetheart? Breakfasts ready!"







I opened my eyes smiling to myself, I loved it when my dad was home and things were like normal. Rubbing my eyes I got out of bed and went downstairs.. I could smell breakfast and more importantly coffee!







"Thanks dad" I mumbled sitting at the table, bacon and eggs and a strong coffee. Couldn't go wrong with that.






"Where's nat?" I asked still trying to open my eyes properly.






"Right here sleepy head!" She said walking in. My dad had the biggest grin when he noticed her, it was so cute. Nat was ready for work already, she always looked nice. I could see why my dad liked her so much. Her blonde hair always looked perfect, she had ice blue eyes. The nicest teeth, I swear she could of been on one of those cheesy toothpaste adverts. Not only was she gorgeous but she had an amazing personality to go with it. She sat down with me and just laughed at me.







"Take it you're laughing at the state of me?" I asked munching my breakfast.








"You amuse me" she laughed and dad laughed along with her.







"Well we can't all look perfect like you in the morning can we." I joked.







"Oh sshh, you've seen me when I've just woken up"







"Yeah and you still look perfect! It's not fair" I smiled downing my coffee.
"Well anyway, it's time for me to roll, peace out homies"







I had half an hour to get ready and fifteen minutes to get to school. That was fine, I was quite fast.







Driving into the school I spotted Nick, I waved at him so he'd wait. He was standing against the tree waiting for me. We chatted for ten minutes before class started. Krystel and Emily came into class together laughing. I swear Emily was morphing into an Oompa Loompa! Krystel made her way over and sat down in her usual seat next to me. She said hi but apart from that Emily and her were just smiling and laughing at each other all through the class.







At lunch I wasn't too hungry so I just went to the toilet then I'd grab a coffee. As I opened the door the bathroom door I heard giggling. I listened for a minute.







"It's not funny Angela, I feel sick. Why don't you feel like this?" It was Paige.







"I don't know, just be sick and it'll be fine" she said. They both started laughing as if what they were saying was hilarious. Then Paige started being sick, that was enough for me. The toilet could wait. I turned around and bumped straight into Emily.







"Oops careful gorgeous!" She laughed and disappeared into the toilet. Ugh what weirdos they all were, what the hell did Krystel see in her. She could do so much better than her, like me maybe? Nah that was just a dream Krystel and I being together. It just wouldn't work, well maybe it would who knows? I just couldn't imagine myself being in a relationship with a girl, although I did enjoy that kiss very much and probably would do it again if the chance was there. That wasn't normal was it? She's my best friend! And anyway is never want anything to ruin our friendship.







"You're addicted to coffee Ms Kennedy" a voice said from behind me, making me jump a little. I turned around to see Krystel grinning at me.







"Don't sneak up on people with hot drinks in their hands Ms Denver!" I smiled.







"Missed you at lunch"







"Wasn't hungry babe. If you're looking for Emily she's in the bathroom with Angela and Paige"







Krys frowned a little when I mentioned Angela and Paige.







"Thanks but I wasn't looking for her, I'm seeing her tonight. She has a surprise for me apparently" she smiled. She looked genuinely happy. It was nice to see her like this, I couldn't help but think it wouldn't last though. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am. All I could do was try and be a good friend and be there for her when the time came that she needed me, and she would when it all goes horribly wrong.








"That's great krys, I'm glad things are going well."







Krys sat with me for the rest of lunch, it was nice. I had double maths next though..







After maths I had a headache, it didn't matter how much I concentrated it just didn't work, I couldn't do it! I drove straight to work from school because I didn't have enough time to get changed before my shift. I didn't mind waitressing, you got to meet some really nice people. I got on well with my boss too which was a bonus.








"Sheryl you can knock off now, you look tired"








"Thanks Jenny" I grinned. "I'll see you Thursday"








"See you Thursday sweetie"







Oh god I couldn't wait to get into my bed. It took me ten minutes to drive home. Opening the door I noticed dad sitting on the couch.







"Hey dad, where's nat?" I said chucking my keys on the side.








"She's left me sweetheart. Said she couldn't do it anymore" he looked sad. But everything was so great this morning!








"What! She can't have. Why would she just leave, it doesn't make sense!" I said, I almost had tears in my eyes.







"He's teasing you babe! I was in the kitchen" Nats voice said from behind me.







"You're a pig!"





"Aw you love a little joke darling! Don't cry" he laughed. Nat came over and hugged me.







"Aww at least I know you'd miss me if I was gone"







"I would miss you, he's just evil"







"Yeah you are, that was mean" Nat said slapping his arm.







"Have you had dinner?" Nat asked. I hadn't but I wasn't hungry I was just tired.







"Yeah I had something, I'm really tired actually so I'm gonna have an early night" I yawned.







"Okay, well I'm gone for a week tommorow so I won't see you"







"Ok well I'll phone you anyway" I kissed my dad goodnight.







"Night guys"








"Night honey" they both shouted at the same time. I went for a quick shower and got changed and into bed. It felt like heaven! I noticed I had a text from Krystel..

Was she drunk? Krys was pretty good at spelling, it wasn't like her. She wouldn't be drunk on a Tuesday night surely? I tried calling, it rang and rang. I'll talk to her tommorow about it. I quickly text her back before going to sleep.
