Sheryl
Well, what a fabulous first day that was. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
I climbed in my car and drove home. I really hated going back to an empty home, my mum walked out on me when I was two and my dad is always away driving his truck. He will come back for a few days here and there but I'm pretty much on my own most of the time.
I got in and checked the fridge straight away, I was starving. Well, I didn't get to eat my lunch thanks to super bitch. There was some left over lasagne in there so I grabbed it along with a fork and sat down in front of the television. I loved cold lasagne, it's always so much better the next day. I sat there thinking about the day and my new school. Actually it wasn't that bad apart from Angela, of course, but I didn't really care about her. Krystel seemed nice but I'm not gonna start making friends with that little group. I got up and logged into Facebook, I might have no friends here but I still had some back home. I said home, this is my home now, I suppose. I did have a few close female friends, but my best friend was a guy. His name was Kieran. I was hoping he would be online because I was so bored and he was. I smiled writing him a message:
{Hey u :) How are u? I miss u so much xx}
I did miss him. I've only been living here for a week but I was actually quite lonely.
{Hey gorgeous ;) I'm good, how's the new place? U settling in okay? Miss u more xx}
The thing I liked the most about Kieran was that I felt comfortable with him, we would never be together because we were more like brother and sister.
{It's alright, I suppose. I've yet to make any friends tho lol what u up2?xx}
{Sorry babe, I've gotta run. Mum's calling. I will call u soon for a catch up tho. Take care xx}
And with that he was gone. Ugh. I logged off and went for a long bath. After that I went to sleep. This will be an early night.

I got up a bit earlier than usual the next day. Sitting down, I enjoyed my coffee. It put me in a good mood. I grabbed my keys heading to school. As soon as I walked into school I spotted Angela, Paige and Krystel. Angela was being rude to this boy, making fun of the way he looked. He had brown slightly curled hair, he must have had a bit of acne and he wore glasses which were a bit too big. Bless him. I couldn't take it anymore so I marched over to her.
"Why do you have to make fun of people's looks, Angela? Is it because somebody commented on that huge nose of yours and that wart thing you try and cover up with a ton of make up? And you just couldn't handle it so you pick on other people make yourself feel better?"
I could see Krystel trying her hardest not to laugh. Angela just touched her face and ran off to the bathroom.
"Hey, thanks for that, my name is Jake."
"Hi Jake, fancy getting a coffee?" he looked very surprised by this. I simply laughed and grabbed his arm.
"Let's go."
That day I learned a lot about Jake. He only had about three friends, which was more than I had anyway. Nobody was really ever nice to him so he had no confidence. Well, Jake now had four friends, I had one.
The school day soon came to an end and I had a lot of books to take home after school. Slamming the locker shut with my elbow, I walked to my car.
"Sheryl," I heard a girl call my name. God, please not Angela, I'm not in the mood. I turned around and Krystel was standing there with my keys in her hand.
"Thought you might need these," she said smiling. She had a lovely smile.
"Well, you thought right then eh, you couldn't do me a favour and open the door for me?" I said.
"Sure," she opened the door for me and I chucked the books in.
"Thank you for noticing my keys."
"That's alright, nice car."
"Thanks, where's your car?" Krystel laughed a little.
"Oh I don't drive, I don't trust myself," I smiled at her.
"Aww well, do you want a lift? Jump in!"
"I'd be very lazy if I accepted a lift, it's only a ten minute walk."
"Oh really? Well, it's still ten minutes, just have a lift."
Krystel giggled, "Okay then." She got in the car. "So, are you up to much tonight?"
I sighed a little. "Unfortunately not, back to an empty house. Might do some homework."
"Where are your parents?" She asked curiously.
"My dad works away a lot and I don't know my mum."
Krystel looked a bit sad when I said that. "Oh, I'm sorry?"
I smiled. "Don't be sorry, you can't miss what you never had, can you?" I said pulling into her drive.
"Suppose so. Hey, do you want to come in for dinner?" My god, she was like the total opposite to Angela.
"Thanks, but I better get home and catch up with some work."
"Okay no worries, and hey, you left Angela speechless this morning. I couldn't believe her face when you came over," she said grinning.
"She deserves it, anyway, I guess I'll see you tommorow."
"Yeah, you will. Thanks for the lift, Sheryl."
