Saphira groaned as she slowly woke up. Her body was still aching like it had been. She felt very stiff and slow, her eyes open slowly, and her vision was blurry at first. She shivered as the air was cold, she folded her arms and forced herself to sit up. She glanced around and for a moment, she forgot where she was. The large room with the kitchenette was not something she expected to wake up to. She rubbed her eyes with a frown and checked the time on her watch. It was early in the morning currently and it was a Saturday. One of the two days she would miss out on the school lunch. She grimaced, her stomach growled at her and it was hurting a little.

"I don't know where she could have gone, Optimus!" A familiar voice snapped from the outside. "She never came back after walking off. You let her have free reign of the place, and you didn't even consider she might find a way out on her own."

Saphira recognized the voice, and the events from the day before flooded back. She yawned a little and stretched, arching her back just as the door of the large room opened. She looked up, meeting the optics of two autobots. "Morning..." She groaned as she stretched, wincing a little from the pain.

"You did not need to worry, Ratchet. She found somewhere suitable to sleep." Optimus looked down at Saphira as she scratched the back of her head. "I hope this area is suitable for you, Saphira. I did my research on human needs, and I do not know if that couch is a suitable bed for you."

"It's far better than sleeping on the ground with just cardboard," Saphira responded with a sigh. "It is still too early..." She glanced at her watch again and moved to stand up. "I'll be going back to sleep once I use the bathroom."

Ratchet huffed a little and looked at Optimus. "Well, I still have every right to be concerned. Any breach in our security could lead the decepticons here. I do not wish for that happen." Saphira stood up, only to fall back down due to lack of balance. The medic narrowed his eyes at her. "And look, she is so clumsy!" She glanced up at him in surprise. "Couldn't she just have been taken to her home like the other children? And why is her skin black and blue under her shirt?"

Saphira glanced down and realized her shirt had slipped upward on her skin. She quickly yanked it down. "Um...there's no reason...don't worry about it, Ratchet." She forced a smile at him and stood up quickly. "You should go back to looking closer at the stuff that made Arcee dizzy, that is more important than me."

"I would like to...it is just I am having a hard time trusting a small human like you," Ratchet said bluntly, folding his arms as Saphira walked towards the bathroom. "How do I know you won't find a way out of here?"

She frowned at him, placing her hands on her hips. "You could get to know me before making assumptions, Ratchet. Judging a girl simply because she is a human and alone really is poor judgement on your part. I would have assumed as beings older than I am would have better sense."

"I am in agreement with Saphira, Ratchet," Optimus said, looking at him with a disappointed frown. "The girl has only been here for less than twelve hours. Give her a chance. You don't need to make it more difficult for her."

Ratchet huffed and rolled his eyes. "Very well...I will give her one chance."

Saphira ducked into the bathroom to make use of the toilet, she was really needing to go anyway. She heard the autobots leave the room, which was a relief. She did not quite understand Ratchet's hostility towards her, however, she was actually used to it. She relieved herself in the bathroom and walked out with some thoughts on her mind, she almost expected the autobots to still be standing there. She was glad they were not hovering over her. She was a little self conscious about the bots seeing the bruises on her skin. She was glad they did not seem to know what that was at the moment. They likely will figure it out if they ask the right questions.
