Saphira didn't look out of the window as Megatron flew threw the air. She didn't know where he was taking her, and this point, she didn't know if she cared. Her heart was hoping that Megatron would make a truce with Optimus...though...she didn't know when he would do it. She doubted the autobots would believe him wanting a true right now, especially given what he did to Ratchet. She would not particularly blame them.
"When do you hope to achieve a truce with the autobots?" Saphira asked curiously, staring at her knees without looking up. "If what you say is true...surely you would want to make the truce very soon."
"I will need to first show that I am serious, Saphira," Megatron responded in a calm tone. "The autobots will not be easily convinced. You know that."
"Yeah..." Saphira did also know that Optimus knew that Megatron did have the capacity for change...but Optimus would not believe it so quickly. "I guess you are right. Do you know what this rising is? Is it connected to you, or something else?"
Megatron already knew the answer to her question, but he truthfully didn't want to tell her that it is him. He believed that it was him. "I don't fully know...I have seen vivid flashes of it ever since I merged the dark energon into my chest. It is as if Unicron himself is showing them to me."
She looked at the console in front of her with her curious expression. "Isn't...isn't Unicron...your enemy?"
"He was Primus's enemy, yes," Megatron responded, he knew she was going to question him due to this reason. "However, Unicron's been considered gone for many years. No one knows where he is currently hiding, and therefore he isn't a concern."
Saphira listened to him thoughtfully and shrugged a little. "I suppose that is a comforting thing."
"Oh, it is indeed." He paused as he thought about what to say next. "I am sorry, Saphira." She raised a curious eyebrow at his apology. "I didn't mean to frighten you when Ratchet attacked me..." She rolled her eyes at him and looked down at her knees again. "Especially after...well...you know..." She bit her bottom lip and frowned deeply as she listened to him. "I have given it a lot of thought, and I know that this is the right path, Saphira. If a truce is in the plan of ensuring you and I can be happy...even if you are happy with Optimus too...so be it."
She listened to his words silently, not knowing if he was being honest or not. But hearing him speak of having a truce...and even letting her be with Optimus...it sounded almost too good to be true. She needed to see actions before she believed him. "I guess time will tell, Megatron. You have yet to show yourself to be honest in that regard. Especially given your very long history of war."
Megatron could see that Saphira's wall was not so easily pulled down. She was definitely a very intelligent human, and he knew he would eventually convince her. While Megatron did have feelings grow for her, he didn't know if her feelings were strong for him. "I am willing to be incredibly patient for you, Saphira. However, I don't want you to feel sad. Look out the window. I believe you will love what it outside."
Saphira didn't really didn't want to look outside. She was satisfied staring at her knees. However, as she stared at her knees, she noticed a light reflecting off her skin. She looked up and widened her eyes. Dancing around them were lights of blue, purple and green. Saphira gasped as she gazed upon the lights, the aurora lights. She had always wanted to see them, but she never imagined that she would have a decepticon fly her among it.
Megatron saw her amazed for the lights. He was aware of the aurora lights when he was exploring for something in the far north of the planet. When the sky burst onto color, Megatron thought he was being attacked at first. But when he realized that he was okay, and that these lights were a natural phenomenon, he found himself enjoying flying among these lights. And it was clear to him that humans love these lights too.
