Saphira groaned as she felt aches all over her body. She felt a little nauseous as well. This was not something that she was going to forget for a while. She moved to sit up and placed her hand to her head for a moment before she glanced at the children. They seemed to be feeling the same thing as her, and it was a result of whatever happened with the two portals being close to each other. Saphira looked at the bots, they had been thrown into the ground as well, and she moved to stand up, wanting to run over to Optimus.
"Ugh...are you guys okay?" Jack asked as he grimaced and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Yeah...I think do," Raf responded with a groan, adjusting his glasses as he slowly stood up.
Saphira stood up on shaky legs, brushing her dress down and glancing up at the bots as they stood up. "At least we know what happens when two bridge portals open so close together."
"And not in a good way," Miko comments with a groan. "I really should have stayed home." She clamps her hand over her mouth and gagged.
Saphira grimaced and walked away from Miko towards the bots. "Uggghhh...wha-what just happened?" Bulkhead asked, glancing at the direction where the portal had been and turned to face the other bots.
"I can't be certain," Ratchet began after he had stood after recovering from the overload of the two portals. "But if two bridges sent to the same coordinates cross streams, the feedback could triggered a system overload."
"Could?!" Miko exclaimed, frowning at the bots. "Hello! More like, totally did!"
Saphira looked at the bots, they didn't react like they had heard Miko. That was very strange. And it made her a little nervous, but figured that the bots could simply be too focused on talking that they will speak with them about the matter later.
"The kids made it through, right?" Bulkhead asked worryingly, surprising Saphira, Jack, Miko and Raf.
"What's he talking about?" Jack asked, glancing at Saphira who was standing with wide eyes. "Saphira?"
"Um...I don't know..." Saphira turned to look at Optimus. "Optimus! We never went through the bridge! It forced us out!"
No response as Miko walked up the Bulkhead. "Bulkhead, we're right here!"
Again, no reaction. Optimus put his fingers to his head to activate his com link. "Arcee, did the children and Saphira make it safely back to base?"
"Negative. You don't see them?" Arcee responded quickly.
Okay, this is getting really weird and I'm starting to get scared.
"No sign," Ratchet responded to Arcee as he glanced around, looking for them.
Miko walked right up to Bulkhead with a frown. "No sign?! Okay, seriously Bulk..." Bulkhead suddenly stepped forward, startling Miko. "WOOAAHH!!" Saphira gasped when she saw Bulkhead's foot step right through Miko, like she was invisible. "AAAGGGHHH!!"
Saphira stared in disbelief as Miko stumbled backwards, shaken that just happened. Jack caught her shoulders, looking as shocked as everyone else. "He went right through you. We're not alive."
Saphira turned to Jack with wide eyes. "We are not dead, Jack!"
"I don't wanna be a ghost!" Raf exclaimed fearfully, his voice breaking as he grabbed Jack's shoulders.
"We are still alive!" Saphira snapped as she took deep breaths. "Something has obviously happened. We can still touch each other, they just can't see, hear or touch us."
"Why is that?" Jack questions curiously, glancing at the autobots as they approach Skyquake's grave.
"I don't know..." Saphira ran after the autobots to hear what more they have to say. "We need to figure it out."
