Smuttiness in this chapter.

The next month was not easy for Saphira. Her recovery took a dangerous turn twenty-four hours after the incident when she came down with a very high fever due to her shoulder becoming infected. It scared the scrap out of all the autobots when Saphira collapsed suddenly when she was walking back from her room. But, she was ghostly pale and covered in sweat when Ratchet took her back into the med bay. And the fever lasted a couple weeks, and Ratchet had the challenge of keeping a human hydrated and nourished during this time. He had to give her antibiotics that he had made to battle the fever, which caused her to be very nauseous. It made it almost impossible for her to keep food down, and Ratchet had managed to create an equivalent to IV fluids which saved her from dehydration. The medic was exhausted during this time as recharge was hard to come by.

Optimus himself felt utterly helpless during this time. He stayed in the med bay as often as he could to keep her company. Saphira really enjoyed it, and in this time, Optimus took the liberty of telling her stories about his time as Orion Pax and she enjoyed hearing about them thoroughly. In turn, she managed to convince Ratchet to allow a TV to be brought in so she could watch some movies. And her choice of movies had intrigued Optimus.

The first of these movies she watched were the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Optimus hasn't seen any human movie before, however, he saw why humans created movies. Saphira explained there was a lot more to the story as the books had a lot more in them. She promised him that she would show him the books when she could buy them. Though, Optimus had thoroughly enjoyed the stories these movies told. And the messages woven into them...he definitely took the liberty to remember them.

Aside from those movies, Saphira also watched numerous Disney and Dreamworks movies, all of which Optimus watched with her. He enjoyed it mostly because Saphira was enjoying it while she recovered from her illness. It was painful to see her exhausted almost everyday while sick with the fever. Especially when she had really bad nausea, to the point she was in tears of how painful and hard it was to endure.

She also was forced to do school via through the internet when she was able to. Saphira wanted to finish school on a high note, even though the others told her she did not need to push herself. But she wanted to do it. She was upset at the idea of not being able to finish high school, she had made a promise to herself and her mother to finish it. Even though it put an additional strain on her that was visible for the others to see, but she ignored it.

Now, she was over the fever and she was feeling a lot better. She put weight back on after losing a lot of it during the two weeks she was sick, and she was working on her arm strength with some dumbbells Fowler gave her so she wouldn't lose her muscle. Her shoulder had healed a lot during this time too. Being stuck in bed for a couple weeks provided her body the time it needed to heal it to the point her stitches could be removed, and her bandages.

Saphira was still working on her garden as well. She did not want to abandon it, especially when there were seedlings. While she was sick, Jack took care of it for her. It was really nice of him to offer, and she saw that he has done a very good job of it too. At least she had food growing in the garden as she would have had to restart all of it if Jack didn't do anything about it.

Today was another Monday, Saphira had gotten up early today to get some training in. Aside from getting her strength back in her arms, Saphira had still persisted with her physical training. And she was getting very good at it too. She only trained during the hours the autobots believed she was asleep, she was caught training by Arcee during the day and she was reprimanded for it. So, Saphira took to training either at night, or early in the morning. It depended on how she was feeling so it changed each day.
