She stared out the window as Bumblebee drove into town. She was in no mood for small talk, Fowler found that out quite quickly when Saphira did not respond to him when he spoke to her. He guessed she was not in a good mood, or she was in enough pain that she didn't want to speak. So he did not push it. He had Bumblebee drive to the mall as it had pretty much everything that was needed for humans. Including a furniture store that would have the closet and drawers Saphira would need for her clothes.
Bee parks in the lot and Saphira looked at the mall with a sigh. "Must we waste so much time doing this?" Saphira asked, turning her head to look at Fowler. "I really am a low maintenance person."
The man smiled at her kindly. "It is not a waste of time, Saphira. In fact, it is about time someone made you feel special. I know you deserve it."
She did not believe it, but she wasn't getting out of it either. She pushed the door open and stepped out, standing up from the seat and staring at the building. She swallowed a little, she hasn't been here for a long time. Mostly because she avoided the mall as she knew her stepmother and stepsister come here regularly. She was worried about seeing them. Her eyes scanned the lot to see if their car was here.
"Are you coming?" She flinched and turned her head to look at Fowler. "You seem to be paler than normal, are you feeling alright?" She nodded silently and walked towards the mall entrance. "Is there someone you're expecting to be here? If there is, I will make sure that you are protected."
Saphira kept her mouth tightly shut, she did not want to admit that she was indeed afraid of people. She might have given away a bit of information, but it was only the surface of what she has had to deal with. She glanced around for any sign of her stepmother's car. So far, she did not see them at all. She hoped it would remain that way.
As they enter the mall, Saphira is a little overwhelmed by how busy the building was. She glanced around with wide eyes, she felt so out of place here. Everyone looked so happy here, whereas Saphira felt the need to dig a deep hole and never get out of it. Saphira held her wrists tightly, not knowing where to start.
"Alright, there are plenty of stores to choose from. Pick one and we will go in there." Fowler smiled as her gestured to the many stores around them. "And do not worry, I will take care of it all."
Saphira made no response. She walked through the mall, glancing at the different stores around her as she did not know which store to go into. Fowler did not put any pressure on her thankfully, though she did feel like he will soon if she did not pick a store to go into. However, she glanced at a store and saw it sold dark clothes. She smiled a little and walked to the store window to see the mannequin wearing a short, black dress. She thought it looked cute and walked into the store.
Fowler sighed, he knew Saphira liked black, and he had hoped she would find clothes there were not black. But she found the one store that primarily sold clothes with dark colours on them. He wouldn't say no anyway, she would react badly if he told her not to. He entered the store and he saw Saphira was already looking at some shirts and pants.
"Are you finding clothes that you like?" Fowler asked curiously as she looked at the clothes.
She nodded. "I sure am. I might get a few things...or one..."
"I told you, don't worry about it," Fowler said as he glanced around. "Oh, that dark purple shirt is nice."
She looked in the direction Fowler was looking and shrugged. "It's a blouse."
The man rolled his eyes a little. "It is still nice."
She shrugged, sure it was nice, but she wasn't a huge fan of purple. She hummed, looking at different outfits that had different styles to them. Fowler just followed her, he tapped his fingers on his arms as he thought about Saphira's situation. He decided he would need to have a chat with her, away from the autobots and children. He knew she needed to hear the voice of someone who has been through a similar situation like he has.
