Optimus walked into his berth room and closed the door behind him, locking it so he and Saphira would not be disturbed. It was unlikely since Ratchet was recharging and the others were not in the base. It was just a precaution in Optimus's processors. He walked over to his berth and sat down, looking down at Saphira as he held her in his hand. She looked up at him with a smile, and it took sometime before either of them would speak. They just looked at each other, trying to read the other's mind.

Optimus exhaled gently and proceeded to speak first. "Saphira, I want to apologize if it seemed like I had been ignoring you these past couple weeks. I know you have tried talking to me a couple times, and I didn't mean to act like I didn't want to talk to you."

"I know that now, Optimus. Ratchet filled in the details." Saphira smiled at him, kissing his chassis gently, feeling a light vibration from his chest. "I probably should have not been so sensitive...but...it still hurt. Especially since I didn't know what our relationship will be like. But...knowing that you still love me...Optimus, I love you too. I really do."

Optimus smiled and shifted to lay on the berth, releasing his hold on Saphira so she could sit on his chassis. "I'm sorry that I have caused you unintentional pain. I think we both have had some poor communication these last two weeks. And I want that to end today."

Saphira nodded, moving to lay on her stomach as she looked at his optics. "I agree. However...I've managed to keep myself quite busy. If you ever get the chance to take a look at my garden, it looks very different than it did two weeks ago. And I have this massive biology assignment that I need to finish..." She groaned as she thought about it. "I've already lost sleep over it."

Optimus frowned a little. "Is losing sleep for an assignment really necessary?" She just shrugged as she knew the assignment had to be finished. "It seems quite foolish to me to lose sleep over schoolwork."

"It is, but schools don't really care, as long as you get the work done," Saphira said softly. "I should be okay though. It's almost finished, and I can hand it in early. Just six more weeks until I graduate." She was happy about it, and terrified at the same time. "I just...hope Ronan will not go through with whatever plan that he has for me."

Optimus nodded in agreement. "I look forward to your graduation day. I promise we will be there for it."

Saphira smiled and slid herself forward to kiss him. "Thank you, it will mean a lot to me." She moved herself onto his shoulder, curling against his cheek and stroking it gently, being this close to him was heavenly for her. "Am I to imagine you've been hurting these last couple weeks too?"

He didn't respond straight away as he processed her question before exhaling gently. "Yes, yes I have. I have been having nightmares about the incident, Saphira. All of them ending with you either being killed or taken by Starscream. And me being completely stuck and helpless to stop it." He knew it might sound bad, but Optimus wasn't impervious to nightmares. "I know that the nightmares are not real...but I don't think you realized how scared I was when Ratchet told me that you were in danger, and that you had gone to Greece deliberately to face the decepticons." He turned his head gently, and she looked directly into his soft, sad optics. "I did not think you would be so reckless...however...everyone has the capacity to do that. Make poor decisions...even I did by allowing you to go on your own. Even Ratchet told me so."

Saphira smiled and kissed his lips gently. "I am sorry I have been causing you anguish...I never want to do that deliberately again." She kissed him again and he hummed gently in response as he kissed her back. "I think that is a promise I can keep, especially now that...I have seen the gravity of the consequences to my actions. I don't like it, and I don't want to go through it again."
