Hey my lovely readers! I am back from my week away of cruising! Do not worry, I did not forget about my stories, I made sure to allow my free mind to wander and write down the following chapters of the story. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them. Happy reading!
Saphira awoke the next day feeling excited. Today wasn't going to be the usual, boring day of school. No, she was going to be putting all her effort into the project she has been working on. She did wonder if Optimus and Bumblebee had returned from their investigation into the energon source, she sort of wished she had stayed up to greet them.
Nonetheless, she pulled her board of her bedroom and grabbed out some food to have breakfast so she could start the day. She did hope that Optimus wouldn't ask questions about her guitar as she had told him about it and he likely would know where it come from. Though...it was inevitable.
Saphira finished her baked beans on bread and carried her project from her room to the lobby. To her excitement, Optimus and Bumblebee were back, Ratchet was currently checking them over for any injuries.
She placed her project down carefully and ran in excitedly. "Optimus! Bee!" She exclaimed happily, the two bots look down at her and smile at her excited voice. "When did you get back?"
"About thirty minutes ago," Ratchet responded as he looked at the monitors. "I'm just going through the standard procedure, though Bumblebee took a few hits."
Saphira looked at the bots in surprise. "You were attacked?"
"Starscream reawakened one of Megatron's most loyal warriors," Optimus explained. "His name was Skyquake, I had hoped to try and get him and Starscream to end this bitter war. Especially with so many lives lost."
"And that didn't end well did it?" Saphira asked softly as Optimus shakes his head. "Too bad you were not here to help prevent Ratchet from helping the kids."
Ratchet looked at her and chuckled. "You underestimate what I built for them, Saphira. They will have the highest grades in their class."
"Yeah...we will see," Saphira said with a shrug. She looked up at Optimus with a smile. "I am glad you and Bee are okay. It would be nice if you could go through that bridge and not be attacked almost every time."
"Indeed it would be nice," Optimus agreed. He noticed the cloth covered board near the hallway. "I see you have finished your project, I trust you did not allow Ratchet to help."
"I wasn't going to ruin it, Optimus. Especially as she made the project in memory of her mother. I was going to...but...unlike the other children, marine animals of this world is a big mystery to me." Ratchet looked at Saphira before he realized the time. "By the All Spark! You need to get to school." Saphira nodded and Ratchet looked at Optimus. "You can take her, Optimus. I've already done most of the system check, and I think the rest can wait . I'd take Saphira, but I need to remain with Bumblebee."
Saphira chuckled as she walked over to her board and lifts it, walking back over to Optimus. "Thanks, Ratchet. It was my next question on who was taking me to school." She looked up at Prime with a smile. "Do you mind helping me put this in the cab?"
Optimus transformed into the Peterbilt, opened the cab door and extended an arm from his vehicle form towards her. "I am proud to assist you." Saphira hands him the large board and he carefully pulls it inside. "I won't be able to help when we reach your school, I'm afraid."
"I know." She climbed into the cab with a smile. "That doesn't mean I don't appreciate you helping me." She gets comfortable on the seat, stretching her limbs with a sigh. "Let's roll."
Optimus nearly let out a chuckle as he closed the door and rolled away from Bee and Ratchet into the tunnel towards the doors. "I can tell you have been hanging around us a lot."
