Hidden Spark on Earth (TFP)

Chapter 20

Saphira ran back to the lobby with the dead, metal creature in her hand. She had no idea what it was, but she knew she had to warn the autobots about it. They were metal after all, and she worried they could be eaten by these things as well. When she made it back to the lobby, she could see the panel was open and Ratchet pulled out on the conduits, and to her shock, they looked like they had been eaten through.

"We most definitely have a problem," Ratchet said as he looked at it with a frown. "But what could have caused this?"

Saphira approached the bots as she panted a little, she saw Miko and Jack walking over as they were curious. The lights dim again suddenly, she figured they had come over because of the power failure and they were curious about. She did notice Raf was not with them.

"Or that," Bulkhead said as the bots look up at the lights with a frown as they dim.

Ratchet frowns as he looked at the lights. "Might be the main grid. Hopefully it isn't a substation malfunction." He looked at the conduit he was holding as he thought on what could have caused it.

Saphira was about to tell him what she found when she heard Raf's voice. "Hey guys! Look what I found."

She looked over to Raf and gasped when she saw him holding another one of those creatures in his arms. "We're busy!" Ratchet snapped before screaming suddenly as he saw the creature in his arms.

All three bots stood up in fear and backed away, arming their weapons as they saw it. Saphira was shocked by their reaction, though if what she saw earlier was the reason, she could very well understand why they were afraid. Miko and Jack were startled by their reactions as they move towards Raf.

"Hey, hey! What's with you guys?" Miko asked in alarm, holding up her hands with wide eyes.

"Scraplet! Scraplet!" Bulkhead screamed fearfully, his optics were wide with fear.

"What's a scraplet?" Raf asked curiously, still holding onto the creature in his arms.

"The most dangerous vermin to ever crawl upon the face of Cybertron," Ratchet said as he glared at the creature.

Saphira held up her broken scraplet and the bots glance down at her. "They eat metal don't they? I found this guy gnawing at my fridge and ate my fork. But I was not going to fall for the cute act!" She threw it onto the ground harshly and frowned at the kids. "Raf, that thing is dangerous."

"At least one of you have the sense to destroy one," Ratchet comments, looking back at Raf with a frown.

Jack and Miko look at each other with looks that said they didn't believe them. "This? Are you kidding me?" Jack questions with a light laugh.

Saphira frowned at them for their lack of judgment. "You're giant robots. Scrappy here is teeny," Miko said gently with a smile.

"You have no idea what that teeny thing can do!" Bulkhead exclaimed fearfully.

Raf smiled at the bots and glances down at the scraplet. "Aw, he wouldn't hurt anything."

Saphira lifts her spanner as the scraplet wakes up and turned its head towards the bots. She frowned at it as it opens its mouth, the sound that came from it was like an electric screwdriver, and she saw the multiple rows of teeth. It jumped from Raf's arms and chomping its jaws as it ran towards the bots. Saphira ran towards it to hit it when the bot jumped aside, avoiding her attack. She was surprised and shrieked when the bots tried shooting at the scraplet.

Saphira watched in horror as it dodged their attacks and got closer to them very quickly. It jumped onto Bumblebee's leg and began eating around it, Bee stumbled back and felt onto his aft as the scraplet circled his leg, eating pieces of metal. As the scraplet reached his knee, Bee tried to grab it, only for the scraplet to eat through his hand and began eating his wrist. Bee widened his optical in fear and flicked it off his arm.
