The Final Test

I stood beside Zach and Gray as we grabbed some food for breakfast. I was leaned over the counter with a donut in my hand as Zach nudged me. "Yo, You okay? You've been staring at the glass for like 7 minutes?" I looked at him and nodded "I'm good, Just a bit out of it I guess."

"Y/n!" I heard Eddie announce as I turned around. "Eddie" I said to him as he sighed. "I suppose you must still be mad but I have a surprise" I raised an eyebrow as he urged me to follow him. Biting into my donut I followed him, he led me into my room as I raised an eyebrow. "I have a boyfriend Eddie so whatever it is, do it fast" Eddie rolled his eyes and picked up a wrapped present. "This was a gift- for your birthday I know it's not even close but this is the first time I've seen you in months-" I hushed him as I gently ripped it open, inside was a couple movies Eddie and I loved and a big hard covered book behind it, pulling out the book I flipped through the pages seeing drawings of dinosaurs and landscapes, anything I could think of. Even drawings of me!

"Eddie did you draw all of this?" I asked as he rubbed his neck. "Yeah- You used to be so interested in it so I took some classes during my free time and thought it would be cool for you to have this" I smiled pulling him into a hug, he seemed hesitant at first but eventually wrapped his arms around me. "I have to go run and do something for you dad- I'll be back" He said as I nodded placing the stuff down on the bed.

He waved and walked out, I rolled my eyes and walked to the main room, Kenji ran out past me without a word as I looked confused, I was about to walk in but Ben, Darius and Brooklynn ran out. I wanted to talk to Ben but he ran out too quick.

I stood a bit hurt as I walked in. "Hey girl! I- woah.. what's got you all doom and gloom?" Sammy asked as I sat down. "I just- I don't know.." Sammy sat beside me as Yaz walked over. "What's up? You can talk to us?" Yaz said. I frowned as she wrapped an arm around me. "Yaz, Sam.. I just- I feel like I haven't been spending enough time with Ben- And seeing Brooklynn and my brother so lovey dovey makes me feel-"

"Jealous?" Zach asked. "I get it, I haven't seen my girlfriend in months and being here hasn't helped, I just want to go home and see her." Zach and Gray sat down as I sighed. "But he's here! I just.. maybe I'm a bad girlfriend" I said putting my head against the table. "Wait! Girl no! You're the best girlfriend! How could you think that?" She asked as I shrugged.

"You could join Kenji and Brooklynn on their date? It'll be a double date!" Sammy suggested as i smiled. "I'd love that! But Ben's gone out to who knows where and won't be back till who knows when!" I said sadly. "You can help me with the presentation if you want?" Kenji suggested walking into the room with a box. "Ooh what's in there lover boy!" Sammy asked, She rose from her chair looking into it. "It's for my date with Brooklynn" He said making her squeal.

"We could help! You and N/n could go set up the presentation while we set up your date!" Sammy exclaimed. "That's sounds amazing Sammy- but remember. Simple. Okay? Brooklynn likes simple." He said. "You guys don't plan on wearing that do you?" Zach asked pointing to Kenji and my clothes which have been through months of torture.

"Well we don't exactly have anything else." I said biting at one of my nails. "Well let's worry about that later, right now we need to worry about setting up! Let's go!" Kenji said pulling me behind him. We went up to the roof as I set out candles on tables and helped Kenji pull up the lanterns that surrounded the outdoor patio. He put down flower pots as we both bottled back to catch one that almost fell. Laughing we jumped upon hearing dad. "Well Will you look at this?"
