Evasive Action

We had packed into the plane, Kenji and I in our nice outfits as we had landed on Isla Nublar. It was as run down as it was when we had left. Maybe even worse. Stepping off the plane I heard Toro's roar making me shudder.

"Never thought I'd be back here" I said as Mae stepped off the plane. "Wow. Never thought I'd be here" She said with a smile, Almond walked out behind her as they stared at the dinosaurs happily. "Dad! I uh- Maybe we shouldn't go to the penthouse!" I said as Kenji nodded. "Last I checked it was 1000 percent Dino infested!"

"I'm not reckless! I had my guys to a through sweep to ensure we'll be 1000 percent safe" Dad smiled "You're guys? Of course you've got guys, that's so dope!" He smiled as i elbowed him. "Stop trying to make dope a thing Kenj, It's never going to happen." I teased as we began to walk. "It Will so be a thing!" He said as he walked beside me.

We reached the penthouse as we looked at the steps. "You've got to be kidding me" I said pulling my hair up into a ponytail like Yaz. "Last one there?" I started as he smiled "Is the last one there!" He finished as we sprinted up the steps laughing, we had stopped at the broken door laughing and dotted with sweat. "I forgot how many stairs there are" Kenji said with a smile. I looked around with a sad look as Kenji walked around. Looking outside I recalled some sweet memories of Ben and I

I stared off at the park as Ben came up behind me. "Y/n you okay?" He asked holding something behind his back. "I'm fine don't worry about it.." I told him. I wasn't fine, I missed my family. I wanted to go home.

"Well you aren't fine, You're sighing like you miss something, Weird that I memorized your sighs but still you obviously are not okay" He explained as he offered me a flower: it was a light pink magnolia that usually came off trees.

"This was the best thing me and Bumpy could find, Because the other herbivores ate them already but It reminded me of you, It's beautiful, elegant, and well- I don't know just take the flower" He held it out to me as I took it with a smile "Thanks Ben, Tell Bumper Car I said thanks too" Ben smiled as we leaned over the boats railing just admiring the world as it was, feeling relaxed together for the first time.

Ben.. I thought as I sighed. I sat on the couch as Kenji sat beside me. "We shouldn't have left them.." I whispered as he nodded. "It's just dad-" I shook my head grabbing his shoulders. "Kenj they've been our only friends that haven't been dads business partners kids. Our family. And we just kicked them into the dirt because they were trying to help" I said regretfully.

"Hey dad?" Kenji asked standing up. "I did the right thing before with my friends. Right?" He asked holding my hand as I looked at Dad. "I know it was a hard call but, you made the only choice you could to keep them safe and out of trouble. And you protected us. Our company! Our family, I couldn't be more proud of you. Both of you" Dad said walking close to us.

Dad's eyes flickered to the table as he gasped. "What happened to my gaddi?" He exclaimed. "That's a funny- the dinosaurs did it I tried to save it." He said as i snickered. "Nothing we can do about it now, I suppose" He said through gritted teeth. "Since Biosyn wants to see the control tech in action, we'll need some dinosaurs to demonstrate with." Dad said as I looked at him "Molina I want you to-" "Me? Sorry. No can do. Well can. But won't. I'm just a go-between."

"Have the kids do it, they like rummaging around in the leaves and droppings" She said waving her hand. "You're absolutely right! You kids have been out there before" Dad smiled. "Don't you think they've been through enough? Y/n's already scarred most of her body and you want to put her out there again?" She asked as you looked at the scars on your arms, and some that were revealed under your short shirt.

"Thank you for the insight. But they can decide." Dad said as I looked away. "I was getting used to not running for my life.." Kenji said nervously. "I don't exactly want to risk my head any more then I have" I said to dad. "I completely understand" dad said as Kenji's eyes lit up. "Really!" He smiled. "But I could really use your expertise. Who else knows this island like you two?" Dad asked as I whispered to Kenji. "He's guilt tripping us." Kenji clenched his fists in aggravation. "Well uh." Kenji started as the door handle jiggled. We turned to the door, Kenji getting into battle mode as he grabbed a photo. I picked up a fire iron from by the fireplace and walked towards the door.

Once whatever it was came in, we both swung, Kenji fell to the ground as my wrist was grabbed. "You again? I've had enough of your shit!" Hawkes said as I glared at him. "You've got some nerve you prick!" I shouted. "Hey- hey!" Dad shouted. "Everyone calm down, Hawkes. Bring the boys and let's talk." He said as Hawkes nodded. "Yes sir" He said signaling for the others to follow. "These are your guys?" Kenji asked. I shook my head enraged, I grabbed the iPad that Lina brought with her and cursed. "I shouldn't be doing this.." I said as I was able to log into Kash's system that had access anywhere.

I opened a feed in the med bay and tried to speak to my friends "Guys? Guys! Can you here me!" I asked as they turned to look around. "Hell—o? Y—n? Ca— you— hear— us?" I hard the voices all overlap but struggled to make out what they said. "Hawks is back! He's working for my dad!" I said as my friends tried to figure out what I was saying this time. I turned the iPad off switching it back to normal before tossing it back. Hoping they got the message..

Asking beside Kenji as he spoke to Mae, Almond and I. He ran to dads office as I quickly went after him. "Dad I changed my mind! I'm coming with!" He said as I nodded. "I-Ill come too" I said as dad smiled. "Wonderful!" Hawkes pointed along the map as he spoke. "We'll head this way along this ridge line" he said as Kenji shook his head "You don't want to go that way, the plants there attract these bugs with a super nasty bite. We should go this way" Kenji pointed

Dad was about to praise him when I shook my head. "Nope, that's where the territorial gallimimus's are. They love to run, plus where you said has the Ouranosaurus's remember?" I reminded him as he nodded. "We should go this way, it'll be near Toro but at least it's away from the more dangerous Dino's" I said making Hawks glare. "Leaf eaters are not dangerous" he said as I pushed my bottom lip out. "Well you weren't trapped here for 6 months so you don't get a say. Now shut it and listen to us" I said as he glared at me, Kenji smiling.

We walked out of the penthouse and through the jungle with Mae and Almond following. "Sweet! A fresh stego plate!" Kenji said. "That means one died you know. They don't shed their plates- it's- it's-" I started.

"Genetically impossible" Almond and Mae spoke. "It's their bone structure you can't just shed bones, that's like asking Bumpy and take her hard shell off" I laughed as Dad looked at me confused. "Who's bumpy?" He asked. "One of your many dinosaur babies, there's D/F/N, Bumpy, Blue, the allosaurus, and a whole bunch of others" I said, Dad kept walking as Kenji talked to Hawkes. I walked between Almond and Mae as we spoke lightly. "We sent out a distress beacon months ago, maybe there are people here to help.." I whispered as they nodded. "I hope so.." Mae whispered.

We walked through the jungle in search for the Stegosaur as dad got impatient "Where is that stupid thing?" Mae turned around as Almond and I looked. "I don't know Daniel, We're trying our bests" She said annoyed with dad. I heard loud bellowing and stomps as I looked ahead at the creature. Smiling I heard the commotion behind me begin to scare her. "Kenji stop-" I said as she walked towards us. Picking up some berries and leafs I held it out "Hey easy! Easy!" I shouted, she swung her tail around as I looked at her eyes "She's scared! Give her some room!" We all backed up as far as we could as she kept spinning and swinging her tail.

The ground began to shake as I watched Hawks and Kenji slip of the side of a dried up riverbed, I tumbled down to the ground as the creature ran off. The rumbling soon came to a stop as I heard it once more. The roar of the infamous Toro.

(This was changed a couple times and I'm sorry I'm just really under the weather, Stories will most likely come out every day or every few days as I have marching band practice which steals most of my free time and my energy so I'm hoping to write more, Love you 💋💋 Ill update soon 🫶
