The Last Stand

I stayed seated on Bumpy's back as Ben fed her some berries, the group glaring daggers at Kenji. "You guys have every right to be mad at me." Kenji said head down at the ground. "You think?" Gray snapped. "Thanks for the permission" Brooklynn said as I moved off Bumpy's back jumping on one foot to stand beside my brother.

"Trust me guys, I get it. He's messed up." Ben said looking back at them. "Oh is that what we're calling it?" Yaz asked. "He betrayed and disappointed us.." Ben started as I cleared my throat shaking my head. "But he knows he's made a mistake" We watched as Darius walked away, Kenji looking even more heartbroken. "I know there isn't some magical thing I can say that will make everything right.. but I am so so sorry.."

"I had this idea of what my dad wanted me to be and what I thought he would be but.. I kept telling myself he wasn't a bad guy.. turns out I was wrong" Kenji said sadly. "I think he's officially gone crazy, he never admits when he's wrong" I said as I hopped over to Sammy who was skeptical. "Kenji's been here for you guys and he still will be, You've just gotta give him a second chance like we did for you" I said.

Kenji talked to Brooklynn as I looked at Sammy. "You and Yaz seem to be hitting it off again" I said as she grinned. "Yeah- It's been a lot while you were gone" Sammy said with a laugh.

Sammy quickly ran to Kenji once he stopped talking to Brooklynn, her and Yaz talking with him as I almost fell, Gray catching me before I did. "I'm so glad you're back" he said hugging me tight. "Happy to be back" I said ruffling his dirty curls.

I looked at the small pebbles jumping off the ground as I walked up to the locked gate, putting my ear against it I heard loud stomps. "We have to go- now!" I shouted as a loud bang knocked me away from the gate, helping me up, Zach pushed me on top of Bumpy. "Go now!" He shouted tossing Gray up on top of Bumpy as she began running, "Are we gonna be okay?" Gray asked as I nodded "yeah- we'll be fine!" I said. "Bumper car stop!" She roared lightly slowing to a stop. "Up there" I pointed as Gray quickly went up the ladder to the tree look out. I followed up as Bumpy ran away. We huddled close to the tree staying hidden as our friends ran past.

Hearing the squeak of dinosaurs above and below us, Gray hid his face in my shoulder. "They can't see us don't worry" I whispered. I looked around my heart racing as I kept Gray close. My heart dropped when I heard loud stomps from nearby. Looking around I saw the greenish eye of the spinosaur. "Y/n! I know you're up there come down, You'll be fine" Dad said. I remained still as the spinosaurs mouth opened wide biting down on my shirt and it lifted gray and I up. Gray screamed as we were dropped to the ground. Groaning I looked around watching dads men grab us and pull us off the ground. Standing beside dad we watched our friends stand in front of us.

"I have no intent of hurting any of you! I just want the password" Dad said as I looked at Gray. "Sorry! We forgot it!" Darius said. Dad narrowed his eyes and nodded to Hawkes who let the dinosaurs run. The dinosaurs controlled and the ones not began fighting as we got splashed with water from the pond.

The dinosaurs kept fighting as dad turned to us. "You must know the password" Dad said looking at Gray. He quickly shook his head as dad rolled his eyes. "Let him go. He's no use" he said as the man holding him pushed him forwards. "Dad stop! All of this for a password!?" I asked as he grabbed my jaw. "Business is Business." He said before letting go. I stood helpless watching my friends in danger. I looked at the raptors as I whistled gaining their attention, whistling again they understood what I meant as they ran my way. The man holding me quickly ran away as I jumped on the back of the larger raptor. "I'm gonna call you.. Wanda and Pietro" I said with a smile as we went to the battle field. I grabbed a knife off one of the twins as we passed them as we jumped up on top of the spinosaur. I slid off Pietro and onto the giant finned creature. Using the knife I cut into the thick skin as Hawkes tried to pry the raptors and myself off it.

The other Dino's seemed out of dads control until they all froze, the raptors fell and ran away as the spinosaur shook me down into the water. I swam up watching them all surround little Eatie. "No!" I shouted as I was pulled from the water by Kenji. There we all stood watching as the dinosaurs were overmatched. "They are gonna die!" I exclaimed as I held onto Kenji. We all gasped as Big Eatie fell limp in the clutches of the spino. "Dad won.." I said as I looked away. It was over..
