I ended up staying extra late at Ezra's cozy apartment and I literally had to fight him to let me leave. Not that I wanted to of course, but dad would have my head if I didn't return home.

I kept smiling all the way back to my neighborhood, going through the events of our date. It felt good, being wanted, that is.

I tiptoed up to my room, once I got home and fell asleep immediately with a huge smile plastered on my face.

Maybe I was right, maybe we could work.

Apparently I spoke too soon, because the next thing I know I'm awakened by an incoming call at the ungodly hour of seven in the morning.

"Hello?" I cleared my throat.

"What have you done?!" Ezra practically growled at the other end of the line making me jump out of bed, all traces of sleep gone.

"Ezra?" I whispered "what do to you mean?"

"You told your pretty little friends about us didn't you" he hissed

"Why would you say that?" I mumbled scared. This was the first time I've heard Ezra talk like this. And especially now that all his anger and contempt was aimed at me.

"Come see for yourself" he spat out and hung up.

I stayed rooted in place, with the phone pressed to my ear, unable to move, for the following ten minutes.

What just happened?

I threw on the first gym clothes I got my hands on and after I was ready, went downstairs to stick a post it note on the fridge saying I'd gone for a run.

And that's exactly what I did. I run as fast as I could to Ezra's apartment, my heart beating loudly in my chest, and this time it had nothing to do with the physical strain.

By the time I got there however I was panting and sweating. I spotted Ezra immediately leaning by his car, looking around.

I wasn't worried about been seen with him, since it was only seven thirty and the majority of Rosewood's population, or at least the one that mattered, was still fast asleep.

I walked up to him and leaned on my knees, to catch my breath.

Ezra seemed surprised by my disheveled condition, and he momentary dazed by my outfit.I looked down at myself only to see I was in an almost see through white tank top with black leggings, my bra peeking out.

"Hi"I mumbled and he shook his head as if to clear it, resuming his previous you-killed-my-mom-now-you-must-die look.

"Eh, what did you wanna show me"

Without a word he moved to the back of his car and pointed at it.

There on the windshield, that was covered with a layer of dust three words were drawn clear as day.

I SEE YOU.

I gulped out loud my mind spinning.

"I woke up early to go get coffee, and saw this there, where it clearly wasn't last night"

I moved forward to inspect the handwriting but came up with nothing.

"So I'm asking you Aria" Ezra went on, "who did you tell about us?"

"No one!" I screeched suddenly angry "Now can you accuse me of that?! You know I wouldn't risk saying anything. How stupid you think I am?"

He went to speak then but I cut him off seeing red "You know what? Screw you Ezra! I'm out of here"
