I didn't say anything, just stared at him with the most flustered expression on my face.

Ezra sighed and rested his hands on a parked car."This wasn't supposed to happen like this." He shook his head, "I was supposed to tell you at the right moment and place"

So he was serious, he loved me? My heart started beating faster than it already was, its thumping echoing in my ears.

"Look I know it's a lot to take in right now, and you don't have to say anything"

I opened my mouth to object but he cut me off "Just know that what I said is true Aria. And I also want you to do me a favor"

"What?" I crocked, my throat tight, but thankfully I had stopped crying.

"Go back inside and enjoy the rest of the night. Then come home with me"

"Ezra I don't-"

"Please." he took a step closer and put his hands on my bare shoulders, making me shiver. Despite everything I longed to touch him. To loose myself in him.

"Okay." I agreed after a while and took a step away when a bunch of kids came out of the school.

I took a deep breath and fixed my dress, wiping my eyes and thanking God for waterproof makeup.

"You look beautiful. Now go, I'll meet you in my apartment, do you have a way of getting there?"

I nodded and with a last glance at him, went inside.

"Aria, come on they're about to announce the homecoming king and queen" Emily pulled me along close to the stage where Hanna was standing with other five girls from my year.

At the other side of the stage 6 guys were either waving at the crowd like actual kings or were fidgeting with their ties. I was surprised to find Noel among them. I didn't know he was nominated, but then again he was Noel.

"Welcome class of 2015. I'm happy to announce this year's homecoming King and homecoming Queen" the principal paused for dramatic effect and then like it was the Oscars, pulled a folder out of his suit and flashed us a smile.

"Ladies and gentleman give it up for this year's homecoming Queen.... Hanna Marrin!"

I wooped loudly and clapped while cheering engulfed the gym and Hanna stepped forward with a huge smile on her face as the principal placed the tiara on her head.

"And now for the King" the principal pulled out another identical envelope from his suit jacket "please welcome Noel Kahn!"

I paled considerably as Noel made his way to the principal with a cocky smile. After he got crowned, he gave a long hug to Hanna and the two of them posed for a picture.

I watched them as the rest of the students spread out again, and tried to justify the ball of nerves that had settled in my stomach the moment my eyes had fallen on Noel.

Aside from that incident in his room at the party, Noel has stirred clear of me. However I could still feel him lurking around and whenever I looked at him in class, he was already staring.

Noel broke away from Hanna and as if sensing my look turned to me and winked, his blue eyes shinning mischievously.

I looked away, not knowing if I should feel flattered or not by his actions. Something about him was extremely fishy.

"Hanna congratulations!" My friends chorused once the queen had resumed her previous place by our side.

"Thanks guys can't believe I won"
