AN: If you guys gave my other story a chance I would seriously love you forever. It's called "America's Sweetheart Goes Home" and I just started it. Please please give it a chance.

When the first rays of sun snicked in my room through the curtains I ordered myself out of the bed and in the bathroom. I did everything mechanically. Like a robot. Not giving myself the chance to think what was about to happen.

"You're up early" Dad commented when he saw me dragging myself downstairs and into the kitchen to pour myself a cup of steaming coffee.

October had rolled around and it was getting cold in Rosewood. The leaves had already fallen and were adorning the city with oranges and yellows. Warm, earthly colors that made me think of pumpkin spice lattes and cosy sweaters.

"Are you alright Aria?" Dad pulled me out of my thoughts and I looked at him only to find him staring at me in concern. "You've been... distracted lately, and we haven't talked in a while"

"I'm fine" I lied again. I seemed to be doing that a lot lately. Like a. lot."You don't have to worry about me" unless I end up expelled.

"I've gotta go" I added in a hurry "Yearbook stuff, you know"

Dad didn't look convinced but nodded nonetheless, observing me all the way out of the door.

Once outside I took a deep breath and drove to school. There were barely any cars in the parking lot but for the band's who were practicing early.

I took my phone out and texted Ezra.

Where are you?

Five minutes passed and he hadn't texted me back so I walked into school heading to his class with my heart thumping loudly in my ribcage.

I was about to turn the corner when I heard a commotion going on and I stopped dead on my tracks.

"-no I swear"

"Keep moving!"

"But I have something to tell you!"

"I said KEEP MOVING"

That was definitely the principal's booming voice. And the other could only be Noel's. I froze and tried to breath as little as possible so that my presence could go unnoticed.

"But I'm telling there's nothing there"

"Open your locker Mr.Kahn"

The grunting and reluctant turn of the lock could only mean that Noel obeyed but I had a hard time understanding the collective gasp that followed along with a few curse words from Noel.

"Please you have to let me explain Mr-"

"Oh no Mr.Kahn this time you keep your mouth shut. You did a lot of talking. You're officially suspended until further notice for stealing and owing the results for multiple of your classes"

My eyes widened and I had to refrain from turning the corner to see if the principal was joking. Surely, Noel wasn't suspended? That was too good to be true.
