Define Ezria

Chapter 6

All three of us ended up spending the night at Spencer's,'cause by the time the movie was over it was really late and we were too comfortable to move.

That of course meant I had to get up earlier the next morning so that I could go home, have a shower and change before school.

By the time I got home Mike was already heading to school and I was seriously late, so after the quickest shower in history I threw on the first clean garments I found in my closet-a skirt with high stockings and a tank top- and after putting on some makeup I fled the house.

When I finally got to school I was already at least five minutes late and had to run to my first class which unfortunately was A.P English.

Comeon Aria don't be a coward. I ordered myself outside of the classroom,and mustered the courage to push the door open, making 20 heads turn my way.

"Miss. Motgomery, glad you could join us"Ezra said folding his arms in front of him."This is only the second day of the semester and you've already been late two times for my class. May I speak to you after class?"

I flushed and barely managed to spit out a "Yes Sir" before making my way to the back and taking a seat besides a cute guy who's name I think is Noel. As I struggled to find out which page we were currently studying, I felt a hand over mine and my head snapped to Noel's direction only to see him pointing at his book.

I smiled at him gratefully and turned my attention back to Ezra who had stopped talking and was staring at us.

"Am I boring you Noel? Aria?"He asked throwing an accusing glare at poor Noel who in turn put on a cool face and spat out "Not at all".

Ezra pressed his lips together and refrained from replying. I was staring back and forth to Ezra and Noel trying to figure out what got into them to act so rude.Did they know each other?

I shrugged it off and went back to trying to understand what Ezra was saying about symbolism, but gave up soon and instead started panicking about the upcoming talk with him.

I had a feeling we wouldn't be taking about my punishment...

The bell rung before I could dwelve more on what to say or do.I slowly gathered my stuff and after waving at my friends goodbye and making promises about seeing them later,made my way towards the back of the classroom to wait for the class to clear.

Once everyone was out of there Ezra glanced at me and then walked at the door and locked it.

I gulped and my heart started racing.

"Aria"Ezra begun but I cut him off.

"I'm really sorry for being late I swear it won't happen again I just stayed over Spencer's and we got talking til late am and then I was late again in the mornin-"

"Aria!"

I quickly shut my mouth,blushing furiously. I was babbling again.

"I'm not grounding you if that's what you're worried about.Besides it's only the second day of school and what kind of name I'd make for myself if I started giving out tardies already?"He chuckled and came to sit in the desk in front of the one I was occupating.

"Oh" I responded lamely and frowned. If he wasn't giving me detention why had he asked me to stay over?

"Well because I wanted to ask you something"He answered with a smile.

"Did I say that out loud?"I grimaced and his smile became wider.

"You did but don't worry it's kind of cute"
