Chapter 25: 1st of September
Hermione opened her eyes and immediately dreaded she did. She was not ready for this day yet. Narcissa had been so excited when the letter landed on their doormat. And since the moment she had received the letter Hermione had started to mentally prepare herself for this day, and she thought she was ready, but now that the day was there, she knew she wasn't ready yet, at all. She felt Draco's arm tighten around her, making her turn to look at him.
'You okay?' he whispered.
Hermione shook her head. 'Are you?'
'Sending your kid off will never be easy.' he whispered, snuggling up to her.
'We need to get out of bed.' she said.
'Just not yet.' Draco mumbled, slightly tightening his grip around her waist.
'IT'S TIME TO GET UP!'
Draco groaned next to her and Hermione looked up to see their eldest daughter had stormed into the room, already fully clothed.
'Come on! Get out of bed!' she squealed, drawing the curtains back.
'Narcissa.' Draco groaned.
'Yes?'
'Can you turn it down a notch?'
Narcissa's eyes went from the back of her father's head to her mother, who shrugged and waved it away. 'Why don't you go and make yourself some breakfast? I'll be right down.' Hermione smiled.
Narcissa nodded and ran out of her parent's room. Hermione heard her storm down the stairs and yell 'IT'S HOGWARTS TIME BABY!' Hermione softly chuckled and shook her head. 'That's your daughter.' Draco mumbled.
'It's our daughter.' she said, pecking his forehead before getting out of bed.
'Mum.'
Hermione looked up to see Scorpius rubbing his eye. 'Yes?'
'Can Narcissa stop yelling? It's morning.' he mumbled.
'You, my boy, are a son of mine.' Draco said, motioning for him to come over before patting on the bed. Hermione got up and made place for Scorpius. 'Just thirty minutes longer boys, then it's really time to get up.' Hermione said, kissing the top of Scorpius' head as he passed her. Scorpius crawled up to Hermione's side of the bed and curled up next to Draco. Hermione smiled at her little boy as she pulled the duvet up. She closed the curtains again and walked out of the room, making her way downstairs.
'Mummy.' Jean grinned, opening and closing her tiny hands, wanting to be picked up.
'Good morning darling.' Hermione smiled, picking her three year old daughter up before walking to the kitchen.
'Look!' Narcissa said smiling, pointing at the table, she had completely set for breakfast.
'Thank you darling.' Hermione said, giving Narcissa a small smile. 'Are you excited to go to Hogwarts?'
'YES!' Narcissa squealed.
'Cissa go?' Jean asked.
'Yes, Cissa will go to a different school today.' Hermione said, touching Jean's nose. 'And perhaps one day you'll go there too.' she smiled.
'I'm going to learn how to use my magic!' Narcissa grinned.
'Magic?' Jean asked, looking at her mother. 'Is Cissa a fairy?'
Hermione chuckled. 'No Jeany, Narcissa is a witch, just like mummy.' Hermione said.
'Daddy?' Jean asked.
