Chapter 11: I do, do I?

Hermione slowly opened her eyes, trying to adjust to the bright light which was coming from the window. Hermione groaned and turned around in her old bed, but that's when she heard a high pitched "Good morning" coming from the door. Hermione turned to see who it was and saw Ginny walking in.
'Good morning.' Hermione muttered.
'Are you ready for your big day?' Ginny asked sitting down next to her on the bed.
Hermione turned to look at her.
'I guess so.' Hermione said sitting up.
'How did you sleep?'
'Fine.'
'Are you nervous?'
'I might be, a little.'
'Don't be, you are meant for each other.' Ginny said with a small smile on her face.
'Come on, let's get you ready.' Ginny said.
Hermione groaned.
'Come on. Come on.' Ginny chuckled.

Draco was seated on his bed, staring at his tux that was hanging in front of him, when he heard someone knocking on the door. Draco got up and walked over to the hallway, opening the door to see Harry, Ron and Blaise standing in front of him.
'Are you ready for your big day?' Harry asked passing him.
Draco sighed.
'I think I am.'
'Why the long face mate? I know this will take away your chances to marry me, but you'll marry that beautiful girlfriend of yours instead.' Blaise said patting him on the arm as he passes.
Draco laughed.
'I know, I just have to get over that fact, aren't I?' Draco said.
Blaise gave him a wink before following Harry into the living room while Draco let Ron in.
'You look a little pale though, you're not having second thoughts now, have you?' Ron asked raising his eyebrows.
'No, no of course not!' Draco said closing the door behind Ron.
'Have you spoken to her today?' Draco asked walking after Ron into the living room.
'Nope.' they all said in unison.
Draco sighed.
'But Ginny is with her as we speak.' Harry said.
Draco looked up at him.
'She is?'
Harry nodded.
'It's all fine.' Harry reassured him.
'Why are you so anxious?' Blaise asked sitting down on the couch. Draco sighed and sat down on the couch opposite from him.
'What if she runs away again?' Draco asked.
'She won't.' Harry said.
'Why would she? Has she been acting strange lately?' Blaise asked.
'No.'
'Has she given you any hints she didn't want to marry you?'
'No.'
'See, then she won't run away. Everything's fine mate.' Blaise said.
'Just calm down and get ready, you'll see her there.' Harry reassured him.

'She's fine, she's just taking a shower.' Ginny said.
'No, she seems nervous though. But that's normal, I was nervous.' Ginny said.
'Yes. Healthy nerves.' Ginny chuckled.
'Oh no, she'll look beautiful.'
'What? No, of course not! Why would you think that? Of course she won't run away, she's completely in love with him, she's happy, why would she want to run away from him?' Ginny exclaimed.
'Who are you talking to?' Hermione asked softly.
Ginny quickly turned around to look at Hermione who was standing in the door opening of her old bedroom.
'Harry.' Ginny said.
'Is he checking on me now? I thought you were send here to keep me from being a runaway bride.' Hermione said.
Ginny shook her head.
'Hermione.' she sighed.
'Just kidding Gin. I understand your concerns, it's okay.' Hermione said.
'I wouldn't do anything else to be honest if it was me in your position.' Hermione said turning around to walk back to the bathroom.
'Hermione! Harry I'll call you back later.' Ginny said quickly ending the call and running after her best friend into the bathroom.
'It's okay Gin, really.' Hermione said giving her a small smile.
'And I did think about running away a few days ago, I mean what if something goes wrong?' Hermione said.
'Nothing will go wrong.' Ginny said rushing to her side.
'You can't know that Gin, nobody knows. The only thing you can do is wait and see.' Hermione said.
'You're not- you're not going to run away, are you?' Ginny asked.
Hermione looked at her best friend and sighed before shaking her head.
'Let's get ready.' Ginny said taking her arm and pulling her after her.
'Let's get you in your wedding gown.' Ginny smiled.

Hermione took in a deep breath as she looked over at Ginny.
'You're fine.' Ginny reassured her.
Hermione nodded looking at herself in the mirror again. Her wedding gown was beautiful. It had a sweetheart neckline, but the lace went all the way up to her neck. The gown was an A-line dress, all covered with beautiful lace. The back of the dress was open, showing her bare back. When Hermione had tried this dress on and turned to look at herself in the mirror she immediately fell in love with it, she knew right away, this was her dress. Her hair was in a beautiful updo, with a few curly locks framing her face. A beautiful hairpiece had just been tugged in her hair by Ginny after she finished doing her make up. She had gone for a natural look, only having used light browns and she had a beautiful light pink shade on her lips. She was waiting in a room at the venue until it was show time. Hermione felt like she couldn't breathe, the nerves were really getting to her at this moment. Ginny looked at Hermione and smiled.
'You look beautiful.' Ginny said.
'Thank you.' Hermione said softly stroking her dress, getting rid of a few wrinkles.
Hermione turned her head to the door when she heard a knock. Ginny walked over to slightly open it.
'Get away from here! Seeing the bride means bad luck!' Ginny said.
'Well get out of the room and close the door then, I want to talk to her.' Hermione heard Draco say from the other end of the door.
Ginny looked back around at Hermione, who gave her a nod before Ginny walked out of the room and closed the door behind her. Hermione walked over to the door when she heard the *click* and sighed.
'Draco?'
'Hi sweetheart. Are you okay?' Draco asked.
'I'm fine, you?' Hermione asked, relaxing at the sound of his voice.
'I'm great, knowing I'll be married to the most amazing girl in the whole world in a few minutes.' Draco said from the other side of the door.
Hermione leaned her back against the door and couldn't help but smile.
'I just wanted to know if you were alright. You still want to do this?' Draco asked.
'Yes, I still want to do this, it's just-' Hermione sighed.
'What is it? You know you can tell me anything.' Draco said.
'I'm scared.' Hermione said.
'Scared of what?' Draco asked.
'Scared something will go wrong and ruin everything.' Hermione said quickly wiping the tear away that had escaped her eye.
'I can't promise you nothing will go wrong, but I can promise you that I'm here for you, and I always will. I will protect you from everything which I can protect you from and I will love you even beyond life.' Draco said.
'I love you.' Hermione said.
'I love you too love, I love you too.' Draco said.
'Draco?'
'Yes?'
'Close your eyes.'
'What?'
'Close your eyes.'
'Closed.'
Hermione smiled and opened the door, she saw Draco standing there, leaning against the wall next to the door. Hermione placed her hands on either side of his face before kissing him.
'I wouldn't want to be here with anyone else, other than you. I don't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else, other than you. I'm absolutely and utterly in love with you Draco and I can't wait to call you my husband.' Hermione said.
Draco smiled, still with his eyes closed.
'But I can't help to feel extremely nervous.' Hermione sighed.
'That's normal.' Draco said.
'I love you, that's all you need to know.' Draco said kissing her again before pulling away and stepping back.
'Just go inside and try to calm the nerves down, think of whatever might calm you down.' Draco said.
Hermione looked at him, he looked amazing in his tux. She smiled, this guy is the love of her life. The thought of the true love bond they shared came up in her mind and she shook her head. It sounded like her life was a fairy tale, will this be their happy ending?
'You look handsome in that tux.' Hermione said.
'In my tux? Aren't I always handsome?' he smirked.
Hermione rolled her eyes. She pecked him on the lips before she turned around and walked into the room.
'You can open your eyes now.' she said closing the door behind her.
'Can you send Ginny back in please?' Hermione asked.
'Of course.' Draco said.
'I'll see you at the end of the aisle.' Draco said.
Hermione chuckled and looked back at the mirror studying her appearance when Ginny came in.
'You okay?' Ginny asked walking up behind her, placing her hand on Hermione's shoulder.
'Yes, yes.' Hermione smiled, placing her hand over Ginny's.
Ginny gave her a smile.
'Ready to start this new chapter in your life?' Ginny asked.
'I am.' Hermione smiled turning around and hugging Ginny.
'Let's do this.' Hermione said.
