Chapter 36: Back to Hogwarts
'Narcissa, come on! Hurry up! You don't want to miss your train!' Hermione called to her daughter upstairs. 'The train won't wait for you. You can ask Harry and Ron if you don't believe me.'
'I'm coming!' Narcissa called back before she appeared on the stairs, clutching a book in her hand as she sprinted down the stairs. 'I'm here!'
Hermione chuckles and shook her head. 'Jeany!' Hermione called, only for Jean to appear behind her in a matter of seconds. 'I'm ready mummy!' Jean grinned, her hands behind her back as she looked up at her mother.
'Oh honey,' Hermione started, kneeling down in front of her youngest daughter, who was wearing a cloak Narcissa, Draco's mother, had bought for the little Jean after Jean had been staring at the cloaks behind the glass in Diagon Alley when they were off to get Narcissa her books for her third year at Hogwarts. 'it's not your turn yet to go to Hogwarts.'
'But I want to go with Cissa!' Jean said, the grin slowly morphing into a quivering bottom lip.
'I know you do darling, but I'm going to miss you soooo much when you go, don't you want to stay with daddy and mummy until you're old enough to go to Hogwarts?'
'You can come with me mummy! And daddy can come too!' Jean reassured her mother.
'Mum and dad have already gone to Hogwarts when they were young.' Narcissa told her sister.
Jean looked from Narcissa to her mother and back to Narcissa.
'But they can come with me.' Jean said, taking her mother's hand.
'Are you girls ready?' Draco asked, appearing in the door opening.
'Yes we are.' Narcissa said, passing her father out to the car.
'Daddy! Cissa says you can't come with me when I go to Hogwarts!' Jean told him.
'But darling, believe me, when you're old enough to go, you won't want me to come with you.'
'Yes I do!'
'Well in that case we'll arrange something.' Draco winked, lifting his daughter up and pressing a kiss to her cheek. 'Are you coming love?' Draco called over his shoulder.
'Right behind you.' Hermione nodded. After running into the wall between platform 9 and 10 and appearing at platform 9 ¾ Hermione looked around to find the Potter and Weasley family.
'Hermione!'
Hermione turned around and saw Ginny waving her over a few feet away. 'There they are.' Hermione said, walking up to her best friend. 'Narcissa?' she heard Draco ask. Hermione turned around and saw Narcissa snapping back to reality and nodding to her father before following her family. 'Daddy said he'll go with me to Hogwarts auntie Ginny!' Jean grinned broadly.
'Oh really? That'll be a lot of fun.' Ginny chuckled, tickling Jean's side. Jean laughed, pushing Ginny's hand away from her side. 'Don't tickle me!'
'Where's Scorpius?'
'I think he saw Holly, so he naturally went to her.' Hermione said.
'Does he still have a crush on her?' Ginny chuckled.
Hermione turned to look over her shoulder and saw Scorpius standing next to Holly near the luggage of all the students. 'Yes.'
'Oi, you've got to keep that son of yours away from my daughter!' Fred exclaimed.
Hermione chuckled as she turned around to see Fred, Hayley, George and Angelina walking up to them.
'It's always those Malfoy's.' George said, shaking his head.
'Hey!' Narcissa and Jean exclaimed in unison.
'Hi munchkin.' Hayley smiled, taking Jean over from her father's arms after Jean stretches her arms out to Hayley. 'How have you been?'
'Good.' Jean smiled, wrapping her arms around Hayley's neck.
'Who are you looking for?' Hermione asked, turning to her daughter.
'Hmm? Me? Oh no one.' Narcissa said before a pair of arms were being wrapped around her neck.
'Elizabeth!' Narcissa exclaimed smiling.
'Narcissa!' Elizabeth chuckled. 'Long time no see.'
'Where are your parents?' Narcissa asked.
'Oh they're right behind me.' Elizabeth shrugged. 'With my luggage.' she chuckled.
'Have you seen Isobelle yet?'
Elizabeth shook her head. 'She should be here any time now though, but she's not the one you were looking for, now is she?'
'Shut it you.' Narcissa hissed, nudging Elizabeth's side.
'What did you say Elizabeth?' Hermione asked.
'Oh nothing Mrs. Malfoy.'
'Mum, have you seen my wand?' James asked, appearing behind his mother.
Ginny turned around and sighed. 'If your head wouldn't be attached to your body you'd have lost it a long time ago.' Ginny said as she pulled his wand out from his back-pocket.
'Oops, thanks.' James muttered, taking the wand from his mother.
'Hugo, behave yourself!' Lavender exclaimed, walking up to the group after her son who came rushing towards them.
Hugo slowed down, but didn't stop running, a grin plastered on his face.
'Hi everyone.' Roxanne cheered as she appeared with Matthew next to her.
'I see you've found your boyfriend.' Ginny smiled.
Matthew chuckled as Roxanne's cheeks turned red. 'It's a right old chaos at this part of the platform, again, I see.' Hope said, appearing next to Roxanne, along with her sister and Scorpius.
'Did you expect the family to have shrunk over time?' George asked.
Hope stuck her tongue out at her uncle before hiding behind Roxanne when George appeared to come up to her with a smirk on his face.
'I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.' Isobelle breathes, running up to the group, her father and mother hot on her heels. 'I'm in time!' she exclaimed by breathing out.
'Hey mate.' Draco said when Blaise had stopped next to him. 'A little late, aren't you?'
'We're in time, now aren't we?' Blaise said, shoving his best friend's arm.
Narcissa looked around the platform, trying to find the person she was looking for.
'The beginning of our third year, it's crazy how time flies!' Isobelle said, bringing Narcissa's attention back to her friends.
'It feels like yesterday that we stood here to begin our second year.' Elizabeth said.
'James, stop teasing your brother.' Harry said sternly. Narcissa looked up and met James's eyes, only to quickly turn back to Elizabeth a second later.
'Have you seen-' Narcissa began, but she was interrupted by Hope who called her over.
'Narcissa, are you coming?' Hope asked.
Narcissa looked up at the clock on the stationwall and saw it was almost time to leave. She turned to her parents and gave them both a tight hug. 'You've got everything?' Hermione asked.
'I think I do.' Narcissa nodded before wrapping her arms around her father's waist.
'Have fun and if you need anything just send us a letter.' Draco told her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
'I will.' Narcissa nodded.
'Jean, come say goodbye to your sister.' Hermione said, turning to Jean who was babbling to Hayley.
'Cissa!' Jean exclaimed as she was put down on the ground and she quickly ran up to her big sister before wrapping her small arms around her. 'I'm going to miss you.'
'I'll miss you too Jeany, but I'll be back before you know it for Christmas.' Narcissa told her.
Jean nodded as Narcissa bowed down to give her a kiss.
'Where's Scorpius?' Narcissa asked, looking around the group. 'Here.' Scorpius answered, walking up to her. 'Have fun.' Scorpius said, giving his sister a quick hug.
'Thanks.' Narcissa replied before stepping back. 'Bye everyone.'
Narcissa turned around after receiving multiple "good bye"'s and "have fun"'s from them and walked up to Isobelle and Elizabeth who were waiting for her near the train. They got in and quickly looked for an empty cabin to sit in. It seemed Hogwarts was getting more and more students every year, making it a real challenge to get an empty cabin, but luckily they found the cabin Hope and Holly were sitting in.
'Hey Narcissa.'
Narcissa turned around, letting Elizabeth and Isobelle pass her in the door opening.
'Hey.' Narcissa smiled when she saw Christopher walk up to her.
'Third year now, hu?' Christopher said, leaning against the wall.
'Fifth year now, hu?' Narcissa said.'So I was wondering, now that you're a third year and you're allowed to go to Hogsmeade, would you like to go for a butterbeer the upcoming Hogsmeade weekend?' he asked.
Narcissa raised her eyebrows. 'Are you asking me out?'
'Would you say yes if it was a date I was aiming for?'
'Perhaps.' Narcissa said.
Christopher chuckled, shaking his head. 'So would you like to go out on a date with me?'
'Yes, sure.' Narcissa smiled.
'Great, I'll see you around then.' Christopher grinned, pushing himself away from the wall.
'See you around.'
Christopher looked down at her for a moment in silence, seeming to have a mental discussion with himself before he leans forward and presses a kiss to her cheek. Narcissa's cheeks flushed read as Christopher turned around and walked off. Narcissa's eyes were fixed on Christopher's back but as he passed the entrance of the train she saw James standing there, staring at her. Narcissa gave him a quick smile before she rapidly turned around and walked into the cabin where her friends were staring at her, jaw dropped, eyes wide open.
'Did our little Chris-Chris ask you out?' Hope asked, grinning from ear to ear.
'He did.' Narcissa chuckled, sitting down next to Elizabeth.
'Oh my!' Holly chuckled.
'You lucky girl.' Elizabeth grinned.
'So when is this date going to take place?' Isobelle asked.
'The first Hogsmeade weekend.' Narcissa smiled.
The girls started to talk about the possible scenarios, but Narcissa couldn't keep her attention at the conversation they were having. A nagging feeling in her stomach made it hard for her to concentrate on her friends, her thoughts were someplace else.A/N
Hi there!
I know this is a shitty chapter, I just had to fill it up a bit at the last minute, so I hope it has turned out alright. Ahw Christopher asked Narcissa out and what happened between Narcissa and James? Why can't she even look him in the eyes?
So I skipped their second year because I didn't really know what to write about it and in their third year Narcissa was allowed to go to Hogsmeade.
I'll do my best to finish a new chapter as soon as possible!
lots of love
