Chapter 3 - her

Natasha PoV:
I'm on a mission with Clint right now. I looked out our hotel room window and saw a brunette woman passed out on the road with people crowding round her. I ran downstairs and picked her up and took her back up to the room. I placed her on my bed while Clint gave me a judgmental look.

"Who is that?" Clint asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "We are on a mission, you can't just bring random people to our room!" He explained to me as the girl started to stir awake.

She looked exhausted and broken. As soon as she saw Clint and I she jumped up and backed off into the corner. "We want to help you." I told her and I couldn't help but feel as if I knew her from somewhere. "You can't! They will come for me and there's nothing you can do about it." She panicked as Clint walked up to her. "You are going to be okay. We are here to help." He told her while injecting her with a sedative.

"We have to get her back to the compound." I told him and he nodded. We put her on the jet and flew back home. We put her in a cell and after a while if watching her through the camera she slowly started to stir awake.

That's when I realised who she was. Karina.

"I'm going in." Tony said as he got up and walking into the room. I wasn't going to try and stop him no matter how much I wanted to run in there and give her a hug.

"Who are you?" He said sternly as Karina looked up at him. "They'll come for me." She replied and I thought she Dreykov and I was so confused as I had killed him years ago. "Who?" Tony asked and she showed the back of her neck. I froze. Hydra. So that's where she went when she disappeared all those years back.

"We will help you if you help us." He told her and she nodded. "The base is in Sokovia. I don't know the exact location but if you track for large amounts of energy being used I'm sure you will find it." She said and Clint noticed I was tensed up but knew I would kill him if he said something about it in a room full of people.

"Thank you. What's your name?" He asked and it was as if she had to think about it for a second. "Katerina. Katerina Kovaleva." She said and that's when Clint realised.

I didn't care if anyone else thought I was weak I had to get out of the room. I walked out and went to my room.

Katerina PoV:
I was left in my cell for the rest of the night. It was a glass box with nothing in it. I've been in worse places so I didn't mind that much. Plus I didn't really have much to live for. I heard someone sneak in the room. "I can hear you." I told the shadow. "I know." A woman's voice told me as she revealed herself. "Natalia?" I questioned as my heart fell into my stomach. I walked closer to the glass that was separating us.

"It's Natasha now." She told me and I nodded while tears filled my eyes. "Ok ok," I repeat. "Natasha I'm so sorry. I tried to stop them but I didn't know what was happening and I never should of let them take me. I didn't want to leave you. I'm sorry Natasha." I cried and she didn't even look at me. "Please look at me." I sobbed as I fell to my knees.

I heard her mumble something and the cell door unlocked. She rushed over to me and pulled my head to her chest. I sobbed for what felt like hours until someone came in.

I quickly wiped my eyes and pulled myself together. "What are you doing!" A blonde man who I knew as Captain America. "She is not dangerous." She warned him and he glared at me and I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze. "Fine but she's your responsibility." He told Natasha and I felt so unwanted. Like I was a  virus or some kind of infectious disease that needed to be removed or contained.

She took me up to her room and let me sleep in her bed.

In the morning

I didn't sleep well. At around 2am I woke up due to a nightmare. Natasha was there though. She got me a hot chocolate and offered for me to talk about it but I didn't want to so she didn't push. I did tell her about my powers though. We watched a couple movies and then at around 9am someone knocked on the door.

It was Tony telling me that I could stay in the guest room until a proper one was sorted out for me.

A/n - i know this is a little early but I'm so exhausted from school that I will fall asleep before midnight so I think it's better to do it early than late. Hope you enjoyed it!
