Katerina PoV:
It was so nice. It was clean, so clean you could smell the clean in the air. Not like chemicals like cleanness. "You should probably rest you look really tired." He said and i nodded. "Thank you." I said and he smiled before walking out, he went to shut the door but I stopped him. "Are you ok?" He asked and I nodded. "Can I keep the door open a bit?" I asked and he nodded. "Of course Nat's room is next door if you need anything." He said and I thanked him before going to sleep.

I woke up a couple hours later with my heart racing and I was sweating. Natasha was sitting next to me. "Are you ok?" She asked and I was still in shock. "Katerina?" She said while shaking me a bit causing me to come out of my trance. "Yeah I'm fine." I said while forcing a smile onto my face. I could tell she was worried, it was radiating off her. "Seriously Natasha I'm fine. You don't need to worry." I reassured her and she left hesitantly. I like Natasha I really do but I'm not ready to be vulnerable with her yet.

I laid back down and looked at the ceiling. There was a knock at the door. "Yeah." I said and it slowly opened. It was Natasha again. "I know your not fine but I have something that might cheer you up." She said while pulling me out of bed. "You need like a whole wardrobe so we are going to buy clothes." She explained and I groaned. "What time even is it?" I asked and she looked at her watch. "4pm the mall is still open." She said and I nodded. I want to spend time with Natasha and if this was the only way then I am all for it.

(after shopping)

It's now 7:46pm and Natasha is driving us back. We both brought dresses because Tony called her and told her that he was having a party tonight. He also said that I was officially an Avenger, whatever that meant. I could sense that she was dying to ask me a question. "Just ask it, it can't be that bad." I said and she looked confused for a split second but then realised. "Why did you lie to me earlier?" She asked and I looked away. "After your nightmare, why didn't you tell me that you weren't ok?" She asked while looking over to me.

"Because I don't want you to think I'm weak." I explained as we pulled up to the compound. "I could never think your weak. Katerina you have gone though lifetime's of trauma and came out the other end, that is impressive." She said and I rolled my eyes. "Don't get all therapist on me now." I joked but she didn't find it that funny. "I'm serious Katerina. You are the strongest person I know and showing your emotions doesn't make you weak, they are a part of life and they are not bad things." She said and I nodded.

Then Steve knocked on the window. "Are you guys ok?" He joked. He opened my door for me and carried all the bags. "I will see you at the party." Natasha said as she walked into her room and I waved goodbye. Steve carried my bags to my room. "So Katerina I was wondering if you wanted to be my date to the party." He asked as he put the bags down. "I would love to be." I replied and he smiled. "Ok great I will come by your room at 9:30pm." He said and I nodded.

If I'm being honest I was excited. He liked me. I have no clue why but he did and that's all that matters for now. I was still getting used to the whole 'in control of my life' thing. I checked the time and it was 8pm so I began getting ready. I got in the shower and then put my dress on.
