KEN’S POV. . .

"Yoow! —what's wrong with your face? You look like you've lost a bet." said Stell.

I didn't look at him, I looked at the glass of beer I was holding, I drank it.

"Damn!"

"Hello! I'm here, I'm not a ghost right?" he said while waving his hand in front of  my face, I still ignored him and turned my gaze in another direction.

His eyes widened, he even covered his mouth.

"Helloooo! My goodness gracious! Am I dead? Oh God!" He added like a fool, like he was really crazy, he raised his hand and squeezed his face.

"Tsk."

"Luh! What happened to you bruh?" Justin asked, as he approached Stell.

"Bruh! Can you see me?" Stell asked Justin with wide eyes, he grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him slightly.

"Of course!"

"I'm not dead yet?"

"Huh?" Justin frowned.

"If you can see me and touch me, does that mean you're dead also?!"

"We're dead?! Paano na mga chick’a babes ko?!" Justin also exclaimed.

They are really crazy when they’re together. They are making noise, other people in the bar keep looking at us.

"Shit! Paano na ang mga sugar mommy ko?!" Stell screamed, they both screamed while hugging each other.

I shook my head. Damn, these stupid idiots. Paano ko naging kaibigan ang mga ito? Mga sintu-sinto. I turned to my side when someone stood beside me.

"Hindi na naman ba nakainom ng gamot ang dalawang 'yan? "Josh asked, pointing towards Stell and Justin. When I faced them again, the two were still shouting and hugging each other.

"Ouch!" they both exclaimed together. When Pablo smacked them.

Pablo shouted, "Idiots." The two snorted and shifted their seats promptly.

"Is there a problem?" Pablo turned to face me.

"Step mother mo? " si Josh. I didn't answer them, I didn't want to talk about it. They knew about my father's new wife, they are the ones who informed me about what happened, so I was able to go home in no time.

The four of them are my friends, and of the five of us, Justin and Stell are the crazy ones. There are times when they act like they are out of their minds, and one of those days is today. Josh and Pablo are the serious ones. They are the ones who smacked Justin and Stell if they act like idiots again.

"Bruh! Ganyan talaga ang buhay parang hotdog minsan masarap minsan hindi." Stell snapped suddenly, and the four of us looked at him.

"Saan ang hotdog do'n?" Justin asked him innocently.

"Don't mind the hotdog, that was our ulam earlier." Stell said while laughing. Pablo was about to stand up to hit Stell again, but Josh stopped him. Justin laughed as if Stell's words were really funny.

"Aren't you planning to tell us?" Josh asked me as Pablo calmed down.

"I kissed my Step mother." I said.

"What the fuck?!" bulalas nilang apat. Parehong nanlaki ang mga mata nila.

"Woooo! I thought you hate her!?"

"I hate her, I hate my Dad!"

"Then why did you kiss her?" Pablo asked. I gazed at him but didn't say anything.

I sipped another glass of beer.

They continued to question me, but I ignored them. I don't want to talk about it, and I'm not even sure why I kissed her.

All I know is that I despise her and my father. I want them to separate, and I plan on doing anything to make that happen.

I despise her because I know she just wants Dad's money, she's young, and my dad is decades older than her!

What other reasons could she have had for marrying my father?

She's a gold digger, like what others have said.

 
“Damn!" I sighed in annoyance. I felt like I was spinning. Before they arrived, I had finished several bottles of beer.

"Enough of that, you're wasted." Pablo told me as he took the glass of beer from my hand. I glared at him, he just shrugged.

After a few hours, I decided to go home because my head were really spinning.

"I'll drive you home," Ani ni Josh, inalalayan niya akong maglakad. When we arrived at the parking lot, Josh pushed me into the backseat of his car.

"I want  to drive my car!" I yelled at him. He just grinned. He didn't listen to me and got into his car and drove away.

MARIA THERESA’S POV. . .

"Hon, I'm going." paalam sa akin ni Vester. Humalik siya sa nuo ko at niyakap ako saglit.

"Do you really need to go? It's already late, Vester," I asked him. Aalis na naman kasi siya, tumawag ang secretary niya sa HK, may emergency daw sa company doon and Vester needs to go immediately.

"I have to. Promise I'll take care of myself. You don't have to worry." he replied, smiling.

"Nangako ka sa akin na isasama ako sa next na alis mo." Nakangusong sabi ko, bumuntong-hininga siya at hinawakan ako sa braso.

"Promise, next time I'll take you with me okay, it's an emergency, Hon, I hope you understand." aniya.

Mas ngumuso pa ako lalo pero bahagya ring tumango, na ikinangiti niya. "Good, now I have to go, you have take care, okay? I'll only be there for two weeks after that. I'll go home,"

"Okay," I replied. He smiled at me and then he left. I'm about to close the door pero bigla akong may nakitang tao sa may gate.

"Hey, good evening." Bati sa akin nang lalaki, bigla akong kinabahan dahil hindi ko siya kilala, akma ko ulit isasara ang pinto pero nagsalita siya ulit.

"Sorry, natakot ba kita? I'm Ken's friend hinatid ko lang siya." aniya binuksan niya ang likuran ng kanyang sasakyan and I saw Ken there na nakasalampak parang nakatulog ata.

"Hey dude, wake up we're here!" paggising niya kay Ken.

"F*ck, where am I?!" Ken asked. Nagpakurap-kurap siya pero ng bumaling sa akin ang paningin niya ay bigla siyang ngumiti at pasuray-suray na lumabas ng sasakyan, agad naman siyang inalayan ng kaibigan niya.

"Hey, Mommy!" Nakangiting sambit niya habang papalapit sa akin, agad akong napaatras nanlaki ang mata kong tumingin sa kanya lalo ng bigla niyang binilisan ang paghakbang, tinabig niya ang kaibigan niya at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad, tumigil naman ang kaibigan niya sa paghakbang at hinayaan na lang si Ken.

"Hey mommy." ulit niyang tawag sa akin ng makalapit na siya, isinara niya ang pinto. Natuod ako sa aking kinatatayuan. "It's been two weeks since the last time I saw you. Are you hiding from me?"
