CHAPTER 34

Sandro's POV:

"Good Morning sir." Joshua greeted me ng makapasok ako sa office.

Mag-isa lang sya na nakatayo sa may pintuan banda.

"Good morning. Ikaw lang ba mag-isa today na mag-eescort?" I asked him.

"No sir. May kapalit po si Valdez." He answered.

"Ah mabuti naman--"

"Hi sir Sandro! Good Morning." Mirana greeted me.

"Hello." Tipid kong sagot and nakita ko naman ang disappointment sa mga mata nya.

"Where is Hiraya?" I asked Joshua.

"Uh... she went on a vacation sir." He answered.

"Wow. She was suspended pero nagbakasyon?" I asked.

Natahimik naman sila.

"Anyways, paki-orient na lang si Miss Mirana sa mga protocols during the caravan." I said at pumasok na ng office ko.

Hindi naman ako mapakali kakaisip kung saan pumunta si Hiraya.

"Sir?"

"Sandro."

"Dude!"

"Bro!" Nagulat ako ng bigla naman akong tinapik ni Simon.

I looked around at nakatingin silang lahat sa akin.

What happened?

I looked so confused.

"Bro.. kanina ka pa tinatawag ni Matthew." Simon said at agad naman akong lumingon kay Matthew.

"I'm sorry.. where were we?"

"I was just asking if you're ready na ba to go back to caravan after what happened the last time?" He asked.

Hindi ko naman alam ang sasabihin ko.

"Uh.. I'll get back to you on that later." I said.

"Okay. We'll discuss that personally." He answered.

After the meeting agad naman kaming nag-usap ni Matthew kasama si Simon at Via.

"What happened to you dude? Ano bang iniisip mo?" He asked.

"Are you still worried about what happened? Natatakot ka pa rin ba?" Simon asked me.

"I don't know." I really don't know kasi si Hiraya ang tumatakbo sa isipan ko.

I want to see her.

"If you want, Vinny and I can be your proxy for a couple of days?" He suggested.

Bigla naman akong nagka-idea.

"Yeah.. I mean.. I think I need to lay low for a while siguro." I said.

"I understand dude. I will give you a week to rest. " Sagot ni Matthew.

"Via, give Simon the itinerary and schedules for them to familiarized with." He told Via.

"Yes sir." Via. answered.

"Thanks bro." I said to Simon.

"Anything for you bro. We're a family. We'll always have each other's backs." He said habang nakahawak sa balikat ko.

I felt a little guilt.

I had to lie para lang makita si Hiraya?

Is it worth it?

Is she worth it?

Hindi ko naman alam kung anong pumasok sa isipan ko at ito ako, papunta sa police station para makausap ang chief of police nila.

"You want to know where is Patrolwoman Valdez sir?" Tanong nito sa akin na parang nagdududa.

"Uh.. yeah.. if pwede. I just want to thank her for saving my life." I said.

"Well.. she's on vacation sir. She will probably be back by monday." He said.

That is 5 days from now.

And Matthew gave me a week to lay low.

Ugh.

Is this gonna be worth it?

"Where did she go?" I asked.

He looked at me na parang nagdududa talaga.

I was just hoping he'd tell me.

"She went to the Island of Siargao sir." He said and I swear my heart skip a beat.

"Ow. Malayo pala sya. Maybe I'll wait for her to come back na lang." I said at agad na nagpaalam.

I don't know what happened again at andito na ako sa eroplano papuntang Siargao Island.

Is this gonna be worth it?

After almost 3 hours, lumapag kami sa General Luna at nakasakay na ako ng van papuntang Cloud 9.

I had to use my connections para lang mahanap ang hotel niya dito.

Is this gonna be worth it?

Is she worth it? 

I kept asking myself.

And after searching for her face sa gitna ng Cloud 9 board walk.

There she is standing in front of me.

And as I see her beautiful face.

I found the answer.

Fck it!

She's worth it.
