Sandro's POV:
"What happened back there?" My cousin Matthew asked.
"Two of my securities fled." Tipid kong sagot.
Napaupo naman ako sa sofa na nakalagay sa office nya at kinakamot ang batok ko.
"Via? Can you elaborate?" Tanong nito kay Via na nakatayo banda sa upuan.
"Sir.. yung securities na kasama ni sir Sandro sa sasakyan po.. yun po yung dalawang tumakas."
"What do you mean?"
"They are suspected as members of NPA po na may planong kidnappin si sir Sandro." She explained.
"What?! How did you know about this?" He was talking to me.
I plan on not telling anyone about Hiraya's gift.
"I don't know dude--"
"Yung police escort po ni Sir Sandro na kasama nya po sa sasakyan. Sya po yung nag-warning sa amin."
Damn it Via!
"Baka naman member din sya ng NPA?" Tanong ni Matthew.
"She's not." I answered.
"Are you sure? Eh bakit bigla na lang syang nagbigay ng warning sa inyo in advance?" Matthew was suspicious.
"Oo nga sir. Bigla nyang pinatigil--" I gave Via the look to shut up.
At tumahimik naman agad ito.
"I've known her way back then dude. I am sure she's not a member of the NPA." I said at uminom ng tubig.
"Okay...but I cannot explain that to tito Bonget. By the way have you told him what happened?"
"Not yet"
"Yes sir."
Sabay naman kaming sumagot ni Via.
OH MY GOD.
Tiningnan ko ulit si Via ng masama and she immediately looked away.
Natawa naman si Matthew sa amin.
"I'll go ahead bro. I have some explaining to do to my dad." I said at tumayo na.
Naka-peace sign naman si Via pagdaan ko sa harapan nya and I just rolled my eyes on her.
"Okay dude, give me an update. And please be careful." Matthew said.
"Yep. You too dude."
Sagot ko bago sinara ni Via ang pintuan.
I decided to check on Hiraya kaya pumunta ako agad sa police station.
"Sir Sandro.. what are you doing here?" Tanong ng Chief of Police sa akin.
"Are you here for any updates about what happened sa inyo kanina?. We are working on it na po." He said habang nakikipag-kamay sa akin.
"Um... no actually.. I'm here to see my police escorts?" I asked.
"Si Benitez at si Valdez po?"
Sige, isali na lang din natin yung Joshua para hindi halata.
"Um yeah."
"Pinauwi ko muna silang dalawa po but Valdez is suspended for a week for insubordination. Pero wag kayong mag-alala sir, Si Benitez pa din ang isa sa mga escort mo. " He said.
"Insubordination? Why? What did she do? "
"Well... she refused to tell us how she found out about sa dalawang NPA members na nagkunwaring security nyo po."
Napaisip naman ako.
"Matatanggal ba sya sa serbisyo if hindi nya sasabihin sa inyo?"
"Hindi naman po but she might be relocated to another regional office."
"Hanggang kailan ba sya pwedeng magbigay ng explanation?"
"Until tomorrow lang sir." He answered.
"Okay.. I'll go ahead. Thank you Chief." I said at agad ng umalis.
Dumiretso naman ako sa apartment ni Hiraya.
Nakapatay ang ilaw nito but I still knocked on her door.
Ilang minuto bago ako may narinig na gumalaw sa loob.
She opened it and she was tearing up.
"Hiraya... are you okay?" I was worried.
She just looked at me as her tears fell.
"Hiraya... what happened?"
"Sandro..."
I was stunned when she suddenly walked towards me at niyakap ako ng mahigpit.
