CHAPTER 9

Sandro's POV:

"Anong gusto mo?" I asked Althea habang nilalapag niya ang mga gamit niya sa table.

"Um.. ikaw na ang bahala." She said.

This girl is quite confident.

When she found out na anak kami ng senador she just brushed if off.

"O—kay." I said hesistating.

She just nodded at me and umupo na sa tabi ni Vinny.

"Come on, Simon, samahan mo ako." I said and he just nodded.

Habang nasa counter kami may mga nagpapa-picture pa rin kahit papaano.

"Bro..." He said.

"Yep?"

"Is Hiraya your friend?" He asked shyly.

Medyo nagtaka naman ako.

"Yeah. Kinda."

"Why?"

He just looked at me pero parang nagdadalawang isip.

"Nothing. I'll just get regular burger." He said then tumalikod na.

Hindi ko na din siya kinulit.

Pagbalik namin ng table, Althea was already fixing her papers.

"Here you go." I said as I handed her the burger.

She just smiled at me at agad na kinain ito.

"Wow... you are really hungry." Vinny said.

"Yep. Kakagaling ko lang sa defense namin kanina eh."

She answered.

"So how was it?"

Tumaas naman ang kilay niya.

"Why would I tell you? You're a stranger." She said.

I was caught off guard.

"Um.."

Vinny leaned closer to me.

"You got burn didn't you?" He was smirking at siniko ko naman siya.

Apaka-sungit ng babaeng 'to.

Mabilis niya naman kinain yung burger na binigay ko and then put her hand in front of me.

"What?" I asked.

"Bayad mo sa re-printing ko ng thesis papers?"

Oh wow.

She really is feisty.

I handed her 1000 pesos and she immediately grabbed it.

"Salamat. Salamat din sa burger. I'll go ahead." She said then grabbed her things at agad na lumabas.

"Oh wow. That first girl who sassed you." Sagot naman ni Simon.

"Wait!" Vinny suddenly called her.

Napalingon naman siya.

"Why are you wearing orange dress?!" He shouted at agad naman kumunot ang noo ni Althea.

She stormed out of the place.

"Vinny! Why would you asked that?" I asked.

"Come on, we were all thinking the same thing."

"She looked like orange cone in traffic." Simon said which made us burst into laughter.

Pag-uwi namin ng hotel agad naman ako nagprepare ng gamit ko.

"So you really are going back to London na?" Simon asked.

"Yeah. I have to." I said.

"Aren't you dating anyone there Sandro?" Vinny asked.

"No, not really, but I am beginning to like this—"

I was interrupted by the phone ringing.

I answered it and it was the reception area in the hotel.

"Sir, someone is waiting for you here in the lobby."

"Oh... did you get the name?"

"No, Sir, she wouldn't tell me."

"She?"

May babaeng naghahanap sa akin?

"Yes, Sir. This girl who is wearing orange dress."

I was surprised.

That Althea girl was looking for me?

"Okay. Tell her to wait, baba na ako." I said.

Agad naman akong bumaba to see her.

Ano naman ang kailangan ng babaeng 'to?

Binigyan ko naman siya ng pang-reprint ng thesis niya ah.

I walked towards the lobby when I noticed her bright orange outfit.

Pero natigilan ako ng makilala ko kung sino ito.

I know this kinky curly hair.

She looked at me and everything around us stopped.

Lumalakas ang kabog ng dibdib ko as she walked towards me.

"Hi." She said.

"Hiraya." I answered.

This is not normal.
