SANDRO'S POV

"Sandro, I thought you're going to invite Hiraya tonight?" My Mom asked.

"I wanted to meet her pa naman."

I sat down in front of them. We're in a private dinner. Family dinner to be exact.

"Hiraya is on rest right now, Mom. I don't think I can disturb her." I said.

"Oh well, that's not a good idea. It's okay." Mom said.

"I will fetch her." Vinny interrupted.

Beside him is Tala.

"Tala, are you dating Vinny?" Tanong ni Simon.

Agad naman umiling si Tala at dumistansya kay Vinny.

We laugh at her reaction.

Vinny just glared at her at nag-asaran na naman sila.

"It's early pa naman. Baka hindi pa siya nag-dinner. I-text mo, Sandro." Dad said.

I obliged him. Agad akong nag-text kay Hiraya and I tried ringing her phone.

She texted back after 5 minutes.

"She's coming here." I announced.

"Alright." Mom happily said.

WE'RE BUSY chitchatting when I spotted Hiraya greeted by the waiter.

She is looking around. Agad akong tumayo para salubungin siya.

"She's here?" I heard Mom asked.

"Hey," i get her attention.

She scratched the back of her neck.

"Ayos lang ba itong suot ko?" Tanong niya agad.

I looked at her from head to foot.

"You're perfect, Hiraya." I said and touched her cheek.

She's concious pa din sa suot niya.

"Sure ka ha?"

I nodded.

I guided her papunta sa table namin.

Eksakto naman dumating na ang mga pagkain.

Mom immediately get up from her seat and hug Hiraya.

"Finally na-meet na din kita in person." Mom said.

"Bumakambibig ka ng mga anak ko. Nice to meeting you, hija." Dad said and hug Hiraya too.

"Nice to meeting you din po." Hiraya said at look at me.

"Hi, Vinny and Tala... and Simon."

Vinny and Tala greeted her back and Simon just smiled at her.

"Take a seat, Hiraya. Let's eat bago lumamig ang mga pagkain." Mom said at pinaupo sa tabi ko si Hiraya.

I glanced at her and smiled.

In the middle of eating, Mom suddenly asked Hiraya.

"Sandro said you guys know each other six year ago?"

She is like a talkshow host right now.

I looked at my Dad for help but he just shrugged his shoulders.

Hiraya looked at me first before answering my Mom's question.

"Opo. I met him during his speech in PUP."

Dad nodded.

"That was the day I got hospitalized."

"And Sandro delivered your speech and his tagalog is medyo okay lang." Vinny said and they laugh.

"But right now, my tagalog improve." I defended myself.

"But there's still an accent." Simon said.

"Yeah. Yeah." Sabi ko na lang.

"But I first saw her six years ago din but in San Augustin Church in Paoay." I added.

Hiraya look at me.

"So, are you two... dating." Dad teased me.

Naramdaman ko ang pagsipa ni Hiraya sa paa ko.

"No, we're just friends. Very closed friends." I said.

I heard Vinny chuckled.

"Why? You can level up naman that friendship. Right, Bong?" It's Mom.

"Right! I think you two is a good match." Dad agreed.

I shook my head na natatawa.

"I agree with you Mom." Vinny as always.

I glared at him.

Napainom si Hiraya ng tubig.

"Just what like Sandro said po, we're closed friends."

"Can we change the subject please." Pakiusap ko.

"Okay, okay. Time to stop asking about your love life~" Dad said in a singsong.

They laugh again.

This is not the right time to announce it to the world.

WE EAT LUNCH, as expected napatagal kaming kumain.

Mom and Dad are so fond of talking to Hiraya.

And I can see that she's happy to be accepted by them.

Kung ipapakilala ko man siya na girlfriend ko sa kanila hindi na ako mahihirapan pa sa approval.

Because Mom already approved.

As I looked around, napansin ko ang taong nakatayo sa labas ng resto.

The same police whom with Hiraya last day.
